I just saw a report on the news that a guy was arrested for possession of several 'assault weapons'.
I thought that 'assault weapon' meant currently legal semiauto rifles with certain cosmetic features, but this guy must have had assault rifles, ie full auto, otherwise they would have been legal.
Deliberate blurring of the line, or just poorly informed?
