It was one of those things banned in the 1994 AWB. They serve very little real benefit (which of course, makes it even more absurd that they were placed on the bad features list). IN truth, I imagine it is a matter of principle more than anything else.

Ah.. I see. I was wondering what the deal was.
Just get one of those little shoot through bayonets like the brits use on the SA80... then shoot a couple hundred rounds and try to take it off with bare hands

Well, I have a Mini-14GB that I bought from the Mississippi State Trooper sell-off. It has the LEO only stamps on the receiver and the magazine. I bought it to use, but also because it was never meant for me to own. Chuckle chuckle chuckle.
