Nikon PROSTAFF lens crack

I took the attached photo yesterday of something I’ve noticed while cleaning my muzzleloader. I’ve always used Nikon products, and have had great success (it got me a nice deer yesterday!) but anyways, I noticed when using my LensPen, that there is a mark/scratch appearing in my scope. Depending on where my head is, I see it when looking down. I’ve submitted an email to Nikon to see their thoughts, just wondering if you all have seen something like this? I am ok with sending them the scope covered through warranty.

ive never seen a lense crack, but i have dealt with nikons customer service on a scope i damaged. Im confident they will replace the scope.

Hard to see for sure, but yep that looks like a crack forming at the edge of that lens. Or its a bit of o-ring seal that got cut in manufacture and is now hanging in view.

Yep, seal material or paint used to darken internal surfaces. The latter is more common when rings are over-tightened and crush the tube.

How old of scope?I think their warranty has recently changed.I know the older one wasn't the best.
