I think I've decided on a scope for my new rifle. Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-14x40. I can get it at my dealer for 270.00. Anyone have any experience with this scope? Good/bad? Or do you recommend another?
I have owned that particular scope, and while not a hunter,I thought it to be an outstanding value.Nikon offers so much for the money, and I experienced no problems.Leupold and th other premium optics manufacturers have let their prices drift upward to such an extent that the scope cost often exceeds the rifle value.A sign of the times,I suppose.
I've got a 3-9x40 Buckmaster and I've had no problems at all. That's after 3 moves a couple hunting trips and umpteen trips to the range and no problems with losing zero or anything else.
Hey folks, I just ordered the scope. Same one I thought I would get. Nikon 4.5-14 x 40 silver. I think I'm really going to like it. Thanks for all the input! I'll post range results up as soon as I get to shoot it.
