No Ammo Delivery for Academy

I'm one of those that initially made comments like "don't feed the demand" and "just don't shoot". Now I know better. For some, shooting is a big deal and worth the effort to find ammo.

And reloading is another option, but not a perfect one since both reloading components and equipment are hard to find.

Queen - Our Academy had a similar shipment today: Bulk boxes of .45, Hornady Steel Match .308, Independence 5.56, AE .223, some hunting .223, Critical Duty 9mm 135gr +P, Speer Gold Dot .380 (haven't seen .380 or GD in a long time), and Winchester Super-X .22LR. They also had Blazer aluminum 10mm on the regular shelf...for $30. Not much in the way of guns though. They just sold out of 10/22s and Marlin Model 60s. I was surprised to see them on shelf for so long.

It was nice to actually see some ammo at the counter!

Hate to hear that Btg. I gota say the crowd at our wal marts and gander have been real civilized so far, i'd even go as far as to say classy. Not so at my LGS, its like winner take all in there. Alot of testosterone in there for some reason. I guess it doesnt help that theres 300 people crammed in a room meant for 50

I'm thinking there could be some problems arise from that. AFIAC, if you are not in line, you are not in line. I don't really care what the only other guy in line has to say, if I am behind him, I'm second. You can get behind me. And if you try to move me out of my rightful place, that is assault, and the monkey dance begins.
Maybe there but if you are the first one there it doesn't matter if you're in your vehicle. Everyone behaves themselves and management has been quite vocal in thanking us for our good behavior.

So Queen, how does standing in line with a walker feel? I suspect it doesn't feel too good.

Maybe Academy should give numbers (ammo? Take a number) outside like they do inside in the one I visited 6 months ago in my area? Sure would solve the social issue and everyone could wait in their vehicles.

Everybody can thank DHS for this and after the inquiry that has been put forth all you naysayers can pucker up. Allthough those who have been thinking we were are the problem are puckered up 24/7 anyways.

Bad time to start reloading, given the scarcity of components. I expect that most primer production has been swung into feeding ammunition production versus sale as reloading components.

Nope.

The pacer is machine time in assembling the cartridges, not machine time in making the components at least per Hornady.
