Pretty disperate stuff !

They had to make sure they showed the room with not only a couple firearms in it, but a whole lot of empty beer cans and bottles for effect .

Not only a bit over the top, but a little insulting to any colledge student to imply they are drunken children that would be nothing but dangerous if allowed their right to self defense.

And of course the NRA and gun lobby are "pushing" the issue/idea of having guns on campus rather than simply trying to defend a students right to self defense. Like the gun lobby is standing at the entry gate handing out leaflets to the students that proposes they arm themselves. Ya - right !

Just more ridiculous trash coming from the Brady bunch.

Well, I had been working for at least 2 hours on a detailed analysis of this.... going point by point.... and then Murphy popped his head in and Firefox crashed. When I started it again and hit "Restore session" - the cookie for THR had expired, so it didn't pull up what I had written and instead prompted me to enter my username and password. oye.

Rather than start over again, I'll just summarize my findings. Read the footnotes, double check the facts, read the laws they reference. There is so much that is blatantly wrong in that paper that the authors should be ashamed. A very low blow and a blatant attempt to gain the sympathy of those who are uneducated in the laws and in the reality of the world.

I will say one thing though..... equating all college students to binge-drinkers is not a way to gain their support.
