glove box or console (wherever your registration and PO Insurance is NOT) Keep it there and SHADDUP!
There is a new rash of disarmaments here that didn't used to happen. alot by SCHP, I suspect an anti-type training officer according to my experience. Don't tell, because you don't have to, as long as it is not on your person. Keep your gun and they keep their ignorance of it.
SCHP is actually the reason I no longer wear it in the car. Besides the nice effect of no longer having to inform officers if it isn't "worn", I found it is actually faster to retrieve from the console.
and your stop is faster if it doesn't involve your disarmament and/or some gratuitous ignorant lecture.
