Northfork primers

My refund showed up on my card as pending. Timely too, since I had an unexpected car repair. So, I’m still happy how it worked out! And I hope the theory about selling that pallet of primers for a heck of a lot more is correct, because methinks the “North Fork Tactical” name will be mud from here on out… So I sure hope a good profit was made, somewhere along the line!

From Northfork Tactical website - https://www.northforktactical.com/p...p-primers-1000ct-ginex-sp-primers-1000ct-4398

"GINEX SP PRIMERS 1000CT $60.00

WE ARE NOW TAKING PREORDERS FOR A CONTRACTED SHIPMENT OF UNIS GINEX PRIMERS IN QUANTITIES OF 1000, 5000 OR 50,000.

ESTIMATED SHIPPING TIMES ARE 2 MONTHS FROM 1/15/2021.

HAZMAT SHIPPING FEES ARE INCLUDED IN FLAT RATE SHIPPING PRICE.

GET YOURS NOW BEFORE THIS SHIPMENT IS GONE!"
So apparently the "contracted shipment" cannot be fulfilled ...

And the shipment is now "gone" to the Canadian ammunition manufacturer ...

So a "contract" got violated? ... Does that mean Northfork Tactical will be compensated by one that violated the contract? And customers who were promised $60/1K primers are SOL? I am sure the wholesale cost for purchase was way less than $60/1K. The way I see it, "somebody" is benefiting from this business "deal" and customers are getting screwed. ;)

No doubt in my mind he made money on the deal one way or another. Ammo and components are starting to appear.
Primers are more available here and there.
Very shady to say the least.

Can't help but think he is financially involved with the ammo company in Canada also, and this was all done on purpose, using your money.

That thought has been rattling around in my empty head as well. It makes more sense than Noah’s explanation.

We will never know his motives, but these are the facts.

He paid for those primers using the good faith of the collective folks that sent him money in advance.

Somehow, those primers were sold to someone else. Even if you believe his story that he didn’t have anything to do with it, he got paid something for them.

Everyone who sent him money in advance bankrolled his endeavor with a 6 figure interest free loan. Hellava deal for him.

If I was one of those folks I would be pissed, even if I got my money back.

Well, the money was not free to him as he probably paid card fees on the charge and on the refund. My business would have been charged on each end so his probably was as well. I do believe that he was paid for the primers and he made a profit on them. That is why the refunds came so quickly. Is it illegal? Probably not. But to me it is VERY unethical.

I don't have a dog in this race but have followed the saga of the Ginex primers since its inception here. The US has been pretty much shut down for the past year with a focus mainly on anything and everything government. Why anyone would advertise for sale something that required a import license for, issued by the government totally escapes me. It's like expecting a passport to show up in a few weeks. Not going to happen. Anyway, that said if I had an outstanding order I would be getting a refund now while the getting is good. About all I have seen with regard to these primers is excuses and we know what can be said about excuses. I would be looking for my money back before a bankruptcy is declared and again lacking the necessary import license I can't see why anyone would advertise a product they didn't have. Take the refund, call it a day and a lesson learned. Primers are beginning to show up albeit not at the old prices but not at outrageous prices either. Call it a lesson learned.

As of this morning I see that my refund has actually posted to my credit card account so I can now say for sure I've got my money back. Even though the money was listed as pending within hours of my refund request I know that pending funds can be changed. Now that it's posted it's safely back in my account.

I think I'll skirt the whole primer issue and use those funds for more black powder supplies.

I think he used it to stock up on tooth paste in an attempt to corner the market. Either that or to come up with a new pinto bean pizza to dazzle the world with.

Of course all I have to offer as proof is speculation, same as others here. :)

Going back to his earlier emails and posts, his contract was for a loading company's "Surplus" primers. "Surplus" is entirely different than having a contracted amount of primers.

If his permit took longer than expected, and that loading company found themselves running low on primers due to their primer supply chain drying up, those primers would no longer be surplus, and they would have every right to use them in their operation. If that is really the case, I can't really fault either party - sometimes things don't work out. I do, however, take issue with the 3x price increase for future orders...

That was my guess, from earlier information he provided.

The primers are in Canada, ship is in. We are still working out various legal, organizational and tax hurdlesthat I won’t get into specific detail about, before we bring everything across.

“The primers are in…” is different than “our primers are in. He might not have wanted to risk everyone’s money in paying for them before he knew he was going to be able to bring them into the US.

If you think everyone is upset now, imagine if he bought them, when he could have and now had to tell everyone where they could go in Canada to see the primers they bought…

So, in other words, he didn't want to prepay for something he wasn't sure he would get.

He himself said that the primers were "inadvertently" used by mistake, not because they were no longer surplus.

An excuse is nothing more than a excuse.

That's what I did and just ordered Fed match SPP from midway, yea they are more money but at least I know I'll get them, worth the exact bucks.

That's quite a spin. easy to do if you have nothing invested .I see it more like he gathered everyones money to make a nice profit and screw them in the end . I would bet it was his intentions from minute one .

My refund has posted this AM. Thank god it's over...
Mine too. Refunded in full. Just in time for me to buy a brick of Rem #1-1/2 from Midway for $106. Thanks to @Klaatu Barada Nikto for posting about those on the "Where are reloading supplies..." thread.

The card I paid with is a 0% card so I didn't pay any interest. Also, the account the card gets paid from is NOT an interest-bearing account so I didn't lose any interest. If he used my money for free, then we're even because it didn't cost me anything to lend it to him and I got 4 months of entertainment value out of it watching all of the negative histrionics and "debate" goings ons. Nothing ventured, nothing gained - but it shore were fun watchin' the monkeys sling poo! ;)

Yep. Just in time as today is truck day at Sportsmans. They got a grip of powders last week, and I was too late for primers, but they still have plenty of bullets andloaded ammo surprisingly. I will get something good today.

Interesting update: So, I didn't cancel my order of 5k primers and got a message from Noah a coupe weeks ago that he needed a balance of $130 to ship my order. Well, before I paid him any more, I wanted to do some checking to see how much I had already paid him when I ordered. In the meantime I got my bank statement in and North Fork had debited my account for $75 on Nov 3rd. I had already been debited $75 back in Mar. So I have asked Noah for an updated invoice that reflects what I've already been debited and the balance amount requested.
I'll keep everyone updated on the results here. Just out of curiosity, has anyone else actually completed their transaction with Noah and received their primers?
