Awerbuck I have been told shares with student's he is not going to be there when their gunfight breaks out.
He instructs, shares, and has amongst other talents , the abilty to diagnose and assist a student with a problem. Of interest, if a student demonstrates a method in which they do something really well, even though Awerbuck may himself do it differently - Awerbuck may show another method, the reality is , Awerbuck is not going to be at that student's gunfight.
This subforum is Strategy & Tactics. We have seasoned folks here on THR that can assist folks with various S&T's subjects. We have Professional Trainers, some do assist with Military and LEO training. We have attorneys, that also instruct not only firearms, also the legal aspects of S&T.
We have folks that have been in a variety of Real World Situations, not only the gunfight also the legal and dealing with the psychological and emotional aspects. All of which costs time and money.
We live in a Society that likes to Sue. A Society that like the idea of using Internet Forum Replies to use against a person. A Society that Internet is a medium some use to bewith like minded folks, such as a gun forum as THR is. Some are not sure how they feel about guns, or RKBA matters. Some just hate guns and want them all destroyed, so they read THR and other gun forums to find postings to use against responible firearms owners.
I may not like the way Society thinks, I may not like the Legal , or Political perspectives. I do have to accept the fact things as they are, and if I do not like them, work to change them.
Internet Bravado is not needed here on THR, and it could come back to bite you in the butt.
I have attended quite a few courtroom proceedings, even way before Internet was part of Society. I have been Foreman of the Jury, Juror, Witness for the defense, Charactor Witness of the accused, worked with investigators and the like.
These two phrases will be read, said and echo through everyone's mind that is sitting in a courtroom, especially the jury of your peers:

Well by golly! It is my car and if they attempt steal my gas, I'll shoot the SOBs. . Yep, his words said too many times where anyone within earshot, worked against him - beyond a resonable doubt when he fired that gun and "not trying to hit 'em, just scare 'em a bit". Too late, he did not hit the person directly, but discharging a fiream in the city when his life was not in immediate danger, or that of another - added with the minor injury of flying debris from his firing a weapon - told the jury - NOT what a prudent person would do to prevent stealing gas.
I keep a loaded gun handy, if catch you folks messing with my car, I will shoot you. Terroristic Threatening right off the bat. Just hollered out at some boys admiring his vehicle, just walking by. Later it come out he had shot a BB gun at a stray dog urinating on his tires often , by two neighbors. Teenage boys, straight A students, just looking at a car, just as they would a pretty girl. Brandishing by pulling a jacket back to show he meant business did not help his case worth a darn either.

Yes your Honor, I hammered nails into that peice of wood on the evidence table, I told my no count Brother In Law I'd teach him a lesson if he come around hounding his sister for money for drugs again
Brother in Law in the courtroom looked better than the pictures we Jurors had of him in the room to mull this all over taken at the Emergency Room and in the Main OR after this incident. We were also reading over the Judges Instructions, Request of Brother In Law the Judge allowed, and Sentencing options.
Brother in Law, decided to get straighten out, he went to Hazleton's, which runs a lot of money. He got straight, and has been that way for years. Judge and we Jurors worked out a sentencing agreeable to all parties.
Wife left the husband that used that nail enhanced pc of wood, she had NO problem getting custody of the kids, and the divorce went rather snag free too. Husband is now dead, not pertinent here - only to say going to court can cost a lot more than time , money and some Rights.
