I understand the dynamics of civil law. I fully understand Bushmasters desire to cut their losses to a minimum.
Unfortunately this sets a dangerous precident. Since we now have that moronic salty weapons ban out of the way we need to urge our representatives to sponsor another bill to prevent the manufacturers from being sued.
I guarantee if Ford lost a multi-million dollar lawsuit over someone dying in a hit and run accident by someone driving a stolen Mustang that the politicians in Michigan, Kentucky and other states with Ford plants in then would be Johnny-on-the-Spot saying this type of thing should be stopped.
Perhaps we need to enact some sort of blanket legislation covering all manufactures from such frivious misuses of the justice system.
