I don't have access to the picture at the moment, but caught one last week on my woods trail cam and I'm pretty sure I saw him the week prior.
It looked like it should be an 8 pointer and he had two large main beams, but only one point coming off the beam.
Where the other points should have been were only small bumps, either all others broken off or never formed maybe?
I have a 5x0 Elk skull from a nice Bull I got about 15 years or so ago. The zero side just had a sort of nub and when skinned had very little connection to the skull, consequently no blood flow, etc. I'll get it out of the shed and get a picture.
Also, on a deer hunt mid-state about that long ago four of us were hunting Muleys. We ran into a little bunch of Bucks out in the plains and harvested three of them. When we got to them we noticed one was still in velvet.??? And then we discovered no genitals. He was a hermaphrodite buck. Of course we were only about a mile from the site of the "Roswell Incident"!!
He had a drop tine but it either ripped off or snapped off when I shot him. Left main beam has a giant tare in it where the drop tine was. In case you can’t find it look at the inside of the left main beam.
