Upgrading my plinker and am still torn , I KNOW a 10/22 is a very reliable very good gun but the Hi Point has a fun factor not found in any .22 but I still find myself being very leary of it, it doesn't have the look of a quality firearm by any means. The 9mm version I looked at didn't seem to accept the clip like it should, had to fiddle with it to get it to slide in properly, the .40 didn't have the same problem, has anyone else noticed this? Does the .40 operate as reliablely as the 9mm??? Seems like going by my previous post the 9mm works great and is very reliable. I have the .40 on hold for now but need to make a decision. I like the idea of a plinker with a bit more pop then a .22 but the higher quality of the Ruger is undeniable, at least as far as appearance goes. It is down to a Ruger 10/22 stainless/synthetic or the .40 carbine I guess, what do you guys think???
