Ok own up. Who admits to watching sons of guns

I liken it to a traffic accident... I tell myself to not look, not look, not... Aw shucks, I looked!!

I keep hoping that maybe I will see something unique on the show, I guess...

i agree with the car accident analogy......

has anyone else notice its seemed to have gotten even more scripted and hammed-up than previous seasons?

its amusing at time, better than nothing when im bored out of my mind. I just dont like how fake it is

I watch it but know that like most reality TV it is staged. In the grand scheme of things there are far worse things on television.

Oh yeah......ITS A CANNON!!!!!!

I like it for the guns....it's always cool to see things like cannons and mg34s

I watched it when it first came out when it was more about guns. Now it's all about explosions and drama.

I watched the first season of Sons of Guns. I didn't really get into the show because of the attitude "This has never been done before" when there were glaring examples of someone else doing it. A few things have not been done before or done well such as an integrated AK or shotgun silencer. But attaching a shotgun to a lower rail or controlling a turret from inside a vehicle have been done to death. Then when Will Hayden started getting into legal trouble and having his FFL revoked, treating his employees like dirt etc. I just had no desire to watch it at all.

Ain't skeered to admit it, I watch it. It's just another way to kill time ona Friday night. Can't get worked up over the fake drama though, it's no different than any other "reality" tv.:D

I watched enough to understand the premise...it is contrived to make gun owners look stupid and unsafe....that took about 3 minutes.

I'm not much for the show and think it's comical when they use a portable hand drill or pipe wrench and other inappropriate tools.

Huh? You should have followed me around for a while during my days as a salvage machinist. I often used a hand held angle grinder as a portable mill. When doing rework you improvise. Back on topic: the show has gotten pretty hammed up from season to season. They make some very nice Saiga conversions there though.

I watched a few episodes, but I can't handle any more of that arrogant owner. He is a poor example of how someone should treat their employee's.

Gee, a "fullfillment" order for forty custom .458 SOCOM ARs, no written contract, and the customer refuses to purchase after they're built?

Crap. Tried to support it but it went the way of other shows. Made it into part of the second season and now avoid it.

I would be embarrassed to have RJF on the side of my firearm.

From post #10

"it's comical when they use a portable hand drill or pipe wrench and other inappropriate tools."

Let me guess, were they installing a barrel and chambering it? Sounds like their skill level.

Is it still on? I thought it ran its course and died off. I tried to watch it a few times but it was just too painful. Water-cooled twin M16's mounted on a boat, a $50k Browning 30 cal machine gun cut down to a carbine, one travesty after another. And what really surprised me was that otherwise sane friends were always asking me if I saw their latest episode and talking about how cool the show is.
So, in answer, I tried but I just couldn't take any more. I did learn one thing-I'll NEVER give Red Jacket any business.

That has to be the most glaring example of what is wrong with the owner (and the show). I do watch it, I wonder if Flem will bail from Red Jacket and go to work with Vince.

they DID use the pipe wrench to remove a barrel and I think the drill was used to remove a 4-40 broken screw. "That scratch will come right out with 80 grit sandpaper".

I watch it but am liking it less. It now seems to be going the way of all reality TV shows where they seem to script things to keep it interesting. Let's face it, filming a week at any business can be boring as heck. I also have to wonder about a business who says they have to shut their doors because a $90K order fell through. I am sure that they make more than that in just TV revenue. Each year they have to outdo the previous and now it just does not seem to be real anymore.
