I have an old Vaquero that might need some work that Ruger did not do.But thats another thread. In what order would it be best to do these things? .......1.. ream chamber mouths to .4525..2..firelap barrel ..3..recut forceing cone to 11 degrees 4...tune /smooth action .............btw...its an old Vaquero .45colt .thanks..frontloader

I certainly would not fire-lap a barrel.

Get a jar of JB Bore Paste and lap it by hand. That will remove any microscopic burs while leaving the edges of the rifling clean & sharp.

That way, you aren't wearing out the barrel prematurely by shooting abrasive grit through it.

Unless it's a money issue, I would do all the work you mentioned (except fire-lapping) at the same time. Other wise, the cylinder throats & forcing cone go hand in hand.
The action work could go before or after.

Assuming it's a gun you just acquired, the first thing I would do is see how it shoots. No use fixing something if it ain't broke.

A Bolt Mountain cylinder pin is a good investment. It tightens up the cylinder wobble the Rugers have. Quick n easy to install yourself.
You can buy the Brownell's throat reaming tool I'm selling on the trading post accessories section of this forum if you wish also.
