In the show I was watching some soldiers were doing house to house when they found a revolver. They confiscated it because the homeowner already had an AK 47.

it's one rifle per "adult" male. It's not like the US though, it's just a law, not a right, left out of their new Constitution last time I checked. I doubt it'll last too long once the next dictator takes over.

Well, if there were no restrictions on the type of that one weapon, I guess I would choose an AKS-74U (Krinkov.) The Krink is short and handy while retaining most of the advantages of a rifle.
