Well, I just added a third 1911. I'd been using my Taurus PT1911 as my daily carry piece since I got it. After I managed to break it, (hot cor-bons with stock rcoil spring doesn't make a happy gun. broke a leg off the ejector, and did something to the lock in the hammer, causing it not to release) my hip was getting lonely. I decided to carry my old nickle plated colt, instead. Just to familiarize myself with the gun, a little, I tried about a half doezen practice draws. I dropped the gun, four out of six times. That nickle is slippery! So, when I spotted a (never) used Springfield Defender, for $400, I decided that I had to have it. It seems like a nice mix between the GI spec'd Colt, and all the doodads and geegaws on the Taurus. Only question now, when the Taurus gets back, which do I carry?
