P 64 9x18.... who has one?

Anyone have one of the recently imported P 64 'Polish Makarovs?'

Impressions? Pros and Cons? Is it worth a purchase?

There were a couple of threads on these over at gunboards.com.

My recollection is that they guys had problems. I was surprised; I've always found Polish guns to be excellent.

It's more like a 9x18 PPK...

DA trigger pulls average near 100 pounds. Maybe more.

Decocker cannot be applied with thumb alone; requires bumper jack.

My gunsmith, after working on... er, "a few"... said "The Nazis should've killed every gun designer in Poland. On second thought, maybe they did kill every gun designer in Poland... "

Thanks for the links! I was wondering why my Makarov boards bookmark wasn't working for the past month or so.

I really like the looks of the P64....It will probably be relegated to safe-princess status like the PA 63, and I do have a little fetish for com-bloc pistols.... decisions decisions.

BTW the shop near me wants $180 for one. with one mag.

The are modeled after the FEG SMC 918 series guns............d/a trigger pull sucks but other than that......great little shooters..........

Shoot well............
