P238 vs Mustang pocket printing

I know both of these guns are nearly identical. IMO the main pocket concealment difference is the slide profile. The Sig P238 is squared while the Colt is rounded. I plan on using a DeSantis Nemesis holster. This holster tends to form around the shape of the slide.

I had a chance to try putting a p238 in my pocket & the experience has me thinking the colt slide would print a little less. Those of you that have tried both guns, what's your take?

I have both and also use a DeSantis Nemesis holster. No difference in terms of printing as far as I can discern.

My opinion would be the same. I have a P238 and a Nemesis holster. Fits nicely in a pocket. You wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the two guns in the same holster.

Dress normally, and do your own test in front of a camera...
you need to know if you are showing in any way...
or if there may be other issues to watch...

ive found that putting the [empty] gun in my pocket it conceals quite well. its only after adding the bulk of some of the holsters out there that it loses its disguise....

I have both I'd say any difference will be negligible.

Have you taken a look at the P938? It's comparable in size to the P238, but it's a 9mm.

Quick question for anyone who might have the knowledge to answer.

How's the size compare between a P238 and a J-Frame or LCR revolver? I mean, both would make good pocket-carry choices, but if looking only at size, how do each stack up?

People don't walk around staring at you pockets . So I no longer worry about If I am printing or not. I carry a PPK/S , Mustang, model 36 , Depending on day all in Don Hume Pocket holsters . and Have for years with never a question from any one.

Neither will print if in a proper pocket holster like Remora or Desantis. I could probably get a Hi-Point to look like a wallet if they made a pocket sized gun.

To answer both this and the OP:
I have pocket carried the Mustang, P938 & J frames. The revolver is SLIGHTLY bulkier, but not so much to be concerned with. They autos are about equal. I mostly pocket carry the P938 these days, just because I like the increase in power over the .380 (no longer own the Mustang) and the increase in capacity over the J frame (still own and carry the J frame, always will).

My opinion is that someone who is new to concealed carry is overly self conscience of new protrusions in one clothing. This will pass with time as you realize no one is staring at you. It happens to all of us.

None of them will print with a Nemesis, or most any pocket holster.
