I am looking for holster to carry the Beretta 92 FS no rail on frame.

As we know the Beretta is a large heavy gun. I do not want IWB or shoulder holster. For those of you that carry or have carried the 92 what type and brand of holster have you been satisfied with (and/or dissatisfied with).

I've got a Blackhawk Serpa Sporster for mine like the other poster. It is pretty comfortable for several hours of use at the range, which is where it gets used. I guess you could use it for CC if you are wearing a jacket..........don't think it would conceal under a shirt, but this gun would not be my choice for all day CC. Too heavy and too big.

I carried mine in a Blackhawk Serpa holster for awhile but the thumb release always bothered me. You don't have to worry about retention with them but I can also see that little button being a huge problem drawing under stress.

As already stated, they do not conceal very well either.

For me the solution was simple... I bought a PX4 subcompact with a pancake holster.

I carry mine in a kydex paddle holster. If I'm packing it anywhere but the range, it's going to be a chilly day and I will be wearing a coat over it.

I've carried one every day for nearly a year while deployed in a kydex straight drop belt holster no issue. A dedicated gun belt and kydex or leather concealment belt holster with an "FBI" cant would be relatively comfortable...just have to dress around it.

Just FYI a 92FS w/o a rail will fit just fine in holsters blocked for a P226. So I've used several different holsters over the years for mine, in both a CCW and plain clothes at work capacity. I've used Galco, Bianchi, and Alessi mainly, all OWB and either strong side hip, or just behind the hip. I'll have to check to see what the one I've got currently is, I think it's an Alessi.

I've got a three slot Bianchi holster. Holds the gun very well and snug against the body. Also allows cross-draw carry if you want to. I'm a tall skinny guy so it wouldn't be concealable in the summer with a t-shirt, but under a jacket should be no problem.

I've never carried my Beretta/Wilson Brig Tac, but have been thinking about getting one of their high ride holsters for it.

I find that I can effectively conceal my Beretta with either a Galco "Concealable" (high-rise, forward cant pancake) and a Kramer Belt Scabbard (another fairly high-rise, not quite canted as much, pancake in horsehide). The Galco was about $85, the Kramer $125 (but well worth it, they last forever). Both allow me to pack a pistol the size of the M9 for hours in relative comfort.

I have no issues concealing a pistol this size under a loose tee, sweatshirt, sweater, vest or light jacket, and I'm not that big a guy ... I don't like IWB for a pistol this size, and unless it's open carry at the range, Kydex is out, too. Lately I've found I like carrying big pistols like the M9 or a SIG P-226 because of the payload ... with Mec-Gar 18-round flush-fit mags and the "Plus-2" 20-rounder as a spare on the belt, well, you know ...

El Paso Saddlery, unfortunately I don't remember the model and I am about 9k miles from it right now.

The suggestion about using a SIG 226 holster will help in my search.
I know Jenrick's recommendation is from first hand experience, but I've got to admit I'm very skeptical of that recommendation.

Look at the side by side comparison of the Beretta 92 and SIG P226. In the picture looking down the magwell, notice how much longer the Beretta is forward of the trigger guard.
