I had placed an order for 2 lower build kits on July 4th during their free shipping sale. I had received the kit on july 11th. Upon putting the kits together, it had come to my attention that my hammer and trigger pins on both kits were not in the package. Also 1 of the grip screws were not included either. The a2 stock that had been included wobbles like none other on the buffer tube. I have now called them around 4 times and have gotten many different answers. I talked to them and they said it will be shipped next day, I called back on the 15th and they knew nothing of the problem, but said it would she be no later than the next day. I called back on the 20th and they said it had infact shipped on the 18th. Today the 25th and still nothing has arrived. I called today after work and i was informed it left the facility on the 23rd. They have the worst customer service i have ever experienced, and i will never do business with them again.

i had heard nothing but good from there, i was soo excited to try them out and then this. prob just a freak thing but of course it would hapen to me

Hmmm that stinks. I have ordered 2 AR's and a pistol from them, never had any problems. I have also ordered some AR accessories from them, 2 rather large shipments of ammo, and they always arrived quickly and well-packaged. I have nothing bad to say about them, sorry to hear you did.

PSA forgot to include a Pmag with the lower I ordered a few months ago. A quick call to PSA resulted in a Pmag received by 2nd day air a couple days later. Good customer service when I dealt with them.

I'm sure they're slammed with a spike of new orders in the wake of the recent tragedy in Aurora (being the already heavily scrutinized AR was one of those weapons used).

Just to be fair to PSA they just got done moving one of their stores to a large one in the same parking lot. When speaking with them in person they stated that they were having a lot of problems with inventory control between their 3 stores. For example they couldnt even tell me what holsters were in the shelf or in the back due to the computer system.

Well the OP ordered his kits July 4th, so the recent events probably didn't have any effect. Of course the moving of the stores I did not know about, but that could definitely play a role, and the free shipping they have ongoing this summer can cause delays with so many orders probably. Sounds like the OP himself even acknowledges it was probably a freak thing. Every company has issues from time to time. Hopefully they eventually make it right.

Seems to happen more often than it should based on complaints on other forums and my own experience. I ordered a pistol lower parts kit and got everything, but the LPK. I contacted them and got them to ship a LPK.

I'll continue to do business with them long as their prices and quality are good, but they really need to work on QC in their shipping department. And citing high volume is not a valid excuse. There really is not acceptable excuse.

Every time I have done business with PSA, they have been great. This last shipment of ammo had an issue, but was resolved with flying colors by Bane. Sorry to hear you had an issue.

I've had absolute satisfaction dealing with PSA and their products have always been top shelf. Calling them for help was like talking to my neighbor. I know they are suffering success pains, which there may be no excuse for but it happens and can damage a company. I hope they pull through, a great resource.

I think it must be hit or miss cuz while I've had good experience with them my local forum had some bad experiences posted the other day also.
We'll have to keep an eye on it and see

I recently purchased parts from PSA to build an ar-15. I purchased everything from them except the stripped lower and stock assembly.

I had about 3 or 4 shipments because of the amount of items ordered and forgetting things I needed.

They mixed up was was sent and not sent in the first order and forgot to send my lower parts kit. I e-mailed them that night explaining the situation and the next morning they had the parts kit mailed and a tracking number sent to me.

I know they've been SUPER busy with the sales they've been having as well as opening a physical store and range. Hopefully it will get worked out soon.

I've ordered things from them in the past, including a rifle kit. I have no complaints about them.

Sorry the OP did not have a good experience with them. That sucks.

Sorry to hear.

Ordered my LPK from them as well as my upper without issue. I've also heard way more good than bad, as far as quality and service, so I hope they make it right for you!

The only reason I would personally stop doing business with a company, is if they took my money, didn't give me the product I was sold, and had no intention of getting it to me.

A shipment that's a couple days late, or a case of "oops! - it wasn't in the box, but we'll mail it out ASAP", wouldn't be a dealbreaker for me, especially if there were mitigating circumstances like new employee's or being in the middle of a move/remodel, etc...

Just my opinion, though! :)

I am still waiting on a refund from a order that I canceled....I had to call 3-4 different times still ended up shipping the BO this has been going on almost a month. I have to get my credit card involved in case this does not get resolved.....I do not see myself ordering from them again. Very nice to talk to but they do not do anything they say they will at least in my case.

This happened to me with a LGS. I was charged the full amount of my gun purchase rather than the 20-30% down that I intended, and it took like 3-4 weeks for the store and the credit card company to work it out. Sucked big time, cuz it forced me to postpone a few bill payments.

I only do lay-aways with cash now. And even then, I try to only do it to lock in a sale price or pick up something that I've been looking for, for a while. :)

I just called them up about an order I placed last Sunday. They told me they are about 5 days behind on their orders due to the recent events. I have had good experiences with them in the past but they do seem to be a little slower than usual this time around.

Yeah but it even says that on the website, in pretty bright orange letters, that there is a 5 business day delay in shipping on most orders, due to the free shipping event. Can't blame them if they post the disclaimer.

If you look around PSA has at least their fair share of mistakes. Possibly more than their share, even, all the way up to shipping untested non functional complete rifles that were built incorrectly

The gas tube issue happened awhile ago. It was 3 rifles out of a batch of 300. THREE...EVER. The customers were taken care of quickly, the employee responsible was fired and addition QC measure became standard. It shouldnt have happened, no, but its no different than Colts finish issuses, BCM out of spec lowers, or a DD mistake. It happens and the appropriate measures needed were put into place. Get over it.

My 16" middy with FN barrel arrived promptly and ran like a champ in the 2day traveling carbine camp I attended.

Touchy, much?

Nope not a bit. Just stating facts. I know who you are over from M4C, and Ive backed you up on some of the other "milspec AR" threads here, I just dont think PSA gets the rep they deserve over there and are a solid company through which I (sample of 1) have had positive experience.

Thier mistakes did happen, are documented out there, but they always seem to make it right for a small company with extreme growth in a short period no matter what. The mistakes on QC have been corrected for a while now. Thier shipping dept seems to be a whole nother issue. But dont judge thier shipping quality with thier rifle quality. Their rifle QC has been great for those of us "proving" thier builds

I've also heard of PSA shipping out some ARs with incorrect gas tubes, but it was a while ago and the problem was completely resolved. I'm sure it was a tremendously embarrassing event for them.

As Benjamin Franklin said "It takes many good deeds to build a good reputation, and only one bad one to lose it."
Unfortunately, even if PSA were to make the hands-down best AR on the market by an undeniable margin, many would continue to judge them solely on this mistake of their past.
