Hate to hear everyone's trouble with psa orders. I order 10 packs of their D&H mags from time to time. Normally get them after 4-5 days of order from So Carolina to Mississippi. Hope they get this cleaned up soon.

Alright. I got an update. I to receiver the mass email everyone else did. I also got a tracking number this morning. That makes me feel a little better. I'll let this one ride I guess. According to UPS I should have my order by Friday. On that note I might do business with them again but I do wish there was some sort of notification letting people know this was happening as I am sure their CS staff would have been appreciative as well. By the time my order arrives it will have been nearly a month since the order was placed. I can understand the software issues though so I will give them the benefit of the doubt that moving forward they should be in a much better standing to handle need orders. If I order from them again though and it takes nearly a month for me to receive product without any notification then that will be the last time I order from them.

They are like Walmart. Customer service sucks, it takes forever to get your stuff to your car...but they're cheap so I will keep using them.
I gave up on shopping based on price. Quality, service, price...pick two.

I'm looking forward to their labor day sale and will probably be buying some stuff. They should be 100% caught up by then.

I'm 100% pleased with the freedom series AR-15 I bought from them over Memorial Day. Serious bang for the buck here, $508.

Another Update

My order, placed 8/1/2016, has shipped. I have a tracking number, but UPS cannot track by that number yet. On a number of occasions, from a variety of vendors, I've had UPS take a day or two to get the tracking number in their system, so that doesn't bother me.

As dissatisfied as I am with the CS & communication (or lack thereof) in this case, I haven't totally written PSA off. I guess I'll just count on doubling their estimated shipping time until I've had a few orders arrive in a timely fashion, as well as not receiving any response to emails.

I have to jump in and say, any company that deals with the volume PSA is doing is going to have problems. That is a given. Now I admit it seems like they are not the best in resolving these issues, but I believe PSA is the best option still because the prices are just great. Their AR parts are well liked.

Sorry to hear the problems, but I truly believe it is still worth going to PSA. I personally buy more from PSA than any other company. I consider myself a really smart firearm shopper. I know a deal when I see it. PSA has deals.

also got my tracking # late last night.
also doesn't show up on UPS's site yet.

I think like most companies they slip every once in a while. I've been ordering from them for years and never had an issue.

They created a label but it's not been picked up by UPS and scanned into their system if there's no tracking information. That's still good news. That at least means it's been picked or is in the process of being picked from the warehouse.

I hope mine ships soon. I'm still a little disgusted about them taking the money from my account while knowing there would be a significant shipping delay. I was told that's a separate automated system and they have no control over when funds are taken. I doubt that's entirely true. There are plenty of outfits that don't take the funds until the product ships.

Yeah, I probably would have never been able to build an AR10 without their deals and I expect to wait on components like that. I don't expect to wait on a fully assembled firearm that's in stock.

I'm just waiting for the email stating we're sorry but your item is no longer in stock to come from them. That will take the cake if that happens.

That generally means they created a tracking number. I have had that happen and it still be a week or more before an item actually shipped(not PSA). It's one way that some unscrupulous shippers can take the heat off for a day or two and blame it on the shipping company.

No way.

There are plenty of online retailers in all manner of markets, including firearms and accessories, as large or larger than PSA, who do NOT have these consistent, repeat problems.

Correct ^

This is one of the many things PSA is well known for. I've had a tracking number 5 days before the package was actually ready for UPS to pick it up/actually picked it up. That estimated delivery date UPS initially gives is often based on the assumption that the shipper will get the package to them at the next opportunity...then when that doesn't happen the estimate goes away.

For whatever else happened, UPS can now track my package, as of no later than 5:15 p.m., CST.

There is nothing nefarious about issuing a tracking number several days prior to shipping. I've had that happen on MANY items I've ordered that have nothing to do with firearms or PSA.

You're in good hands now. UPS as we know is almost always on time.

Now, the USPS or anything that uses them, surepost and the like, not so much

I ordered on 8-1 and received my Stainless Steel MOE Mid-length gas system 1/7 Freedom Dissipator upper along with my ammo today. They pretty much were within a day of the lead time they had posted when I went to order it. I'll keep ordering from them as long as they keep sending me quality products. Personally the wait doesn't bother me, but I can see how it could others.

It's not the wait that irks me. It's the utter lack of communication about the issue. A simple head's up on the site (either on the front page or as a banner during checkout) saying there are likely to be delays in shipping do to some backroom changes would have been more than sufficient. Most people are reasonable. You tell us "we're making changes to make things better, but it's likely to create some short term issues or delays" and we'll most likely be cool with it. We're all adults. We get it. When you DON'T communicate though, that's when people start to wonder. And don't get me started on certain vendors that like to just evaporate orders completely when either they don't have it or it sells out way faster than they expected. (not PSA... their initials are SG)

Final update on my order

Package in hand.

As others have noted, it's not the delay that bothered me so much as the complete lack of communication about the delay. It's been entirely up to me to track them down and wrestle information out of them. It took them seconds to get their money, but they didn't ship until at least double their estimated shipping time.

I'll likely order from them again. I'm not so peeved as to write them off, but I'm not going to pretend to be real happy about how this transaction went over, either.

In our current "I want it now" society, probably best not to order from PSA. They slow. I just walk in when I want something from them.

I ordered an upper from them on 8/10. They were advertising 15 days to ship for uppers at the time. Just got the notification that it shipped today and expect to have it in my hands on Wednesday, 8/14.

Looks like they are on top of the earlier shipping problems. For what I saved I can live with a little bit of a wait.

Update from posts #8 and #38--

My friend got his complete lower yesterday. Twenty days from order to receipt.

Next up: a complete upper. We'll see if he orders from PSA. I think he might.

I got my S&W Shield delivered the other day so whatever issue they were having seems to be corrected for now. So that would have made the shipping three days longer than stated at the time of ordering and I can live with that. They still should not take funds until they actually ship. This creates issues with refunds if buyers decide to cancel due to their lackluster shipping times and when they go way off the mark. It usually takes another week or two for the money to get credited back to the banks. I get that their prices are great and it's worth the wait for them to assemble an upper, lower or throw together a rifle kit. They should be able to ship in stock items within one business day. That's just good business.

I ordered several BCG on 8/10 and haven't heard a word on the order as of 8/21. Eleven days just wondering...... :(

I've ordered from them quite a bit. No complaints. Although I'm never in any hurry on my order. Usually I order stuff from places and don't even think about it again until it shows up at the door.

Same here, ordered upper on 15th still show - processing.
Lower kit took 10 days before arrived.
