For all who say you broke their rules selling gun stuff BULLCRAP. They changed the rules I started selling rifle barrels on line with Papal when they first started up. They welcomed my company with open arms.

Then EBay purchased them. They changed the rules no firearm products in the store area. The quietly changed the rules again no firearms, ammo, parts, components, nothing.

Advertise Paypal on other auction sights get shutoff.

Next thing your account is frozen for months till you can recover your money.

Use papal and get screwed your own fault and you deserve it.

H&Hhunter,

All the other posters have made perfect arguments about your breach of contract, and your misunderstanding of the purpose of the U.S. Constitution.

Now, would you care to comment on those subjects directly? I am interested to hear your answers.

deanf,

I can admit when I've overreacted and made a mistake. It is still holds true that people shouldn’t post on an empty head. And that is just exactley what I did. I was angry and empty headed. All of you that have so kindly and correctly pointed out that Pay Pal has not violate my rights are correct. A private corporation however sure as heck can violate your rights in many ways.

And in my saying they that they are doing so I was wrong.

My point was to simply to give a heads up on Pay Pals long and obvious history of being anti 2nd amendment. I flew off the handle and made an incorrect analogy.

Some other points I'd like to address.

Matthew suggests that there is only one post that had capitalized "yelling" script and exclamation points and that was mine. Yes it was, and of course it wasn't directed at anybody on this sight, but at a corporate entity that has nothing to do with anybody on this sight unless they are Pay Pal employees and then in a very third party non direct way. If that has upset you I apologize.

Medula Oblongata (Medulla?)

Suggests that I am demanding that people jump on my band wagon and blindly follow me to the depths of my deranged battle cry against Pay Pal. That I am trying to lead the ignorant and gullible "Sheeple" to their doom. Nothing could be further from the truth. As is included in the title of this thread "I suggest" that you stop using Pay Pal. That is about as far from a direct order or a demand as can be stated in the English language. If you feel that I am demanding that you do as I say you are mistaken. He does go on to state that I was railing and he was RIGHT! (Sorry if that font offended anyone.)

It's just business.

One of our posters suggests that Pay Pal is just an innocent party which is merely doing prudent business to CYA in case of fraudulent transfers of firearms. I am really sick and tired of corporate America using the “it’s only business” cop out. It has become standard for corporations to use this cop out to justify any and all digressions of common decency and ethical business practices towards customers, employees, stake holders, and political leanings. Not to mention justifying obscene upper management bonuses and pay packages in the face of falling wages, benefits, pension cuts Etc. Etc. "It’s just business doesn’t cut it." It’s high time these corporate feudalists step out from behind their golden parachutes and are held responsible for their actions. Especially in the political arena.

Communist manifesto comment.

There was a comment that if Pay Pal didn’t allow you to purchase a copy of the communist manifesto through their company that they are not denying you 1st amendment rights. That is correct, however there is no such restriction from purchasing said items with a Pay Pal account or from buying a plethora of other anti American items with a pay pal account. There is however a policy against letting honest Americans legally transfer a constitutionally protected item. I am sick and tired of this crap.

I did not sell or buy anything with Pay Pal.

And yes it was wrong to mention that I could take Pay Pal as a payment on my classified as it is against their TOS. I went back and read it and it is there. I don’t think it was however, several years ago when I signed up. Not only have I known people who’ve used Pay Pal to purchase firearms and firearm related products. It's never been a problem for them. I never gave it a second thought when I included it in my ad. Pay Pal must have a cookie on GA that picks it up and sends an auto E-mail. There was no transaction made.

The fact is that the liability rests squarely on the shoulders of the seller and primarily and the buyer secondly in a gun transaction and that the intermediary financial institute IE Pay Pal has little or no liability and it would darn near impossible to find fault with them in an illegal transaction which makes their policy alarmist at best, and political at worst. Like I said I’m done with them.

That is my choice, you are free to do what you want. Of course. ;)

PS

My ignorant and obviously emotional reply didn’t go through. I am happy about that and I thank all of you for helping me see the real issues here. I’ll be sending a very nice and professional letter explaining why I am canceling my account.:)
