Fair enough. However there isn't anything that suggests any of these people are innocent. Most if not all of them have been captured on the battlefield fighting our troops. This idea that these folks are somehow innocent is an utter joke.

You don't think the fact that many have been released without charge, after years, including an 80something blind man, constitutes evidence that at least some of these people might not belong in jail?

It is as I say. There are a great many people in this country who are wilfully ignorant and/or do not care. You can not fight this because they deny truth and logic even when it is staring them in the face. Some will even spread lies and misinformation to fruther ends. This is not new to America, be it the Japanese Americans, American Indians, slaves or whoever. We have just changed the group and now we are all in the group that can be marginalized by the central government.

The sad thing is I had hoped we were better than that by now. Most Americans are willing to give up freedom and liberty for security; or at least the illusion of security. This is why I feel this country is doomed to a police state; be it either socialism or facism. There are no laws being unwritten. No government control that is being lifted, only more. In the name of security we are giving away our rights and when we are done, we will be done for.
