The thing is that at those kind of prices, Hi-Shoks can be used for practice and carry. I sure as hell don't shoot 300 rounds of Gold Dots through any of my guns any time I go practice. I used to shoot 9mm a couple of times a week. At that rate, I would have covered a 2nd mortgage at $1 per round of the whiz-bang rounds.
With this "old design" one can carry what they practice with and still have a very reliable and potent cartridge but not break the bank.
