I recently purchased a Springfield EMP. Love the gun!
What I don't like is PERFECTA 115gr 9mm ammo from WalMart.
I shot 100 rounds of this junk at my 18" steel target from 30 yards down to 10 yards. Less than half fired were hits. It looked like a buckshot pattern hitting my berm!
Also had 4 failures to eject accompanied by a face full of hot powder.

I just went out and fired 50 rounds of Federal Champion 115gr aluminum case. Rapid fire from 20 yards, one miss. (my fault) Most hits were near the center of the plate. Also, noticeably firmer and more consistent recoil.

I'm happy!

Mixed reviews ....

I asked about Perfecta ammunition on the forum about 3 weeks ago.
I was thinking about buying a few 50rd 115gr 9x19mm boxes from my local Super Walmart. :uhoh:
I might just stick with 100-250 round boxes of Winchester or Remington UMC 115gr 9mm FMJs.
I have a NIB M&P Shield No Thumb Safety. I shot about 150rd of white box 9mmNATO FMJ with 0 problems or misfires. I had a minor jam with a live round but I account that to poor loading methods/improper hold-grip.

Runs accurate in all of my 9mms.

Plus $148 for a case of 1000 can't be beat. Not even by tula.

Maybe your gun just doesn't like it.

It is manufactured by Fiocchi ammo. Many people are reporting that it is $148 a case but in my area it is still $10+ a box. If I could get it for $148 I would buy cases and cases of it.

Great plinking ammo.

I shot 200 rounds of this Perfecta ammo from my G-17 a few weeks ago with no problems. I'll buy more of this, I've heard this is the same as the Tula BrassMaxx ammo, which is OK also.

Our Walmart had WWB f/$15.50 box last weekI bought a couple of hundred as I already had between 500-600. Also great prices on their .45acp but can't remember price and only bought one box of 100 as I already had @400 rounds and I only have 1 .45 now because my son borrowed one from me and it was in his truck console and his truck was stolen. They recovered the truck the next day, but my Sringfield LW Loaded that i had just got it cerrokoted and a new set Trijicon HD sights and new VZ grips. But it seems ammo is now readily available (except for my .38 +P Super), and prices are dropping.

What?
Where are you getting it for 14.8 cents a round?
Cheapest 9mm I can find is 19.5cpr for horrible Soviet steelcase online or 20cpr for Federal Aluminum when its available at Walmart

It seems to be in AZ, NM, PA & TN where it can be found at that price. The rest of the country is selling at $10+.

My Walther PPQ M2 5" loves the cheap perfecta ammo. These 5-shot groups were done at 14-yards, and this is about as small as any other ammo I shoot from the PPQ.

A friend has gone to Walmart Perfecta in Glock 17 because it is less expensive than WWB.
It seems to be doing ok, it got her through the IDPA state championship Saturday with no fuss.
I think the OP got some of the low end stuff that is why it is cheap... less QC.

I've now gone through 500 rounds each of 9mm and .45 ACP with this stuff ... no failures of any kind. A little dirty, but seemingly no worse than WWB, TulAmmo or Blazers.

My Shield will glock bulge some perfecta brass for some reason. Maybe 3 in 10....but I've reloaded those that didn't bulge and haven't bulged any of the reloads. FWIW????

I had the "faceful of hot powder" problem myself. Plus an FTF in my otherwise flawless Beretta. Horrific ammo.
