For starters - this thread is for pics only. I dont want discussions, flaming, etc.. between the "pro PGO" and "anti PGO" people. That gets nasty, and will cause the mods to lock this thread (and rightfully so).

I personally dont own a PGO shotgun, but because some of my gun collection runs from the useful to the horrible to even the ludicrous. Just for fun, I've tossed around the idea of getting one as yet another way of turning money into noise on a nice afternoon (Yes, I've shot one, No, I'm not planning on it for being anything other than a range toy. We can all have toys, cant we?)

Anyhow, post your pics. Old or new, black "tacticool" or sawed off and sanded; Blued, stainless, or rusty; doubles, singles, pumps, and semis...

Here's my 870:

Why, thank you. I like it, myself. I even carry it on occasion, as is legal here in MT with a permit. :)

My Mossberg set up for a hiking/camping trip....

I only own one shotgun, so it does hiking/camping/plinking/trap/hd duty. So I switch stocks/barrels often.

PTK's collection makes me rethink my position on PGO shotguns. those are just wicked looking, more because of the barrels than the grips.

edit: actually, PTK, i have a question if you have the time...obviously the law and culture varies from one state to another, but do you have any reservations about taking a SBS out of your home? do you need to have the form 4 with you whenever you take the shotgun out of your house? have you ever been harassed by a "well-meaning" LEO about any of your short shotties? i've been interested in chopping the barrel on a coach gun that i own, but i worry what would happen if i ever possessed it without the form 4 also on my person or in whatever vehicle i was using. your thoughts/experience are greatly appreciated!

I do not have any reservations whatsoever about taking any of my NFA items outside my home. I do indeed carry the forms (mostly F1s, not F4s, I make my own things) with me when I bring them out, and I've only been asked a grand total of ONCE by any official figure... who simply asked if she could shoot it. :)

If you want to short barrel a shotgun of your own, head on over to the ATF website and get a Form 1 and a Citizenship form, fill the F1 out in duplicate, follow the instructions, and wait for the stamp to come in. Once you have it, cut away, and carry a copy of the F1 with you whenever you have the NFA item with you. Easy-peasy, really. :D

I have copies of ALL my NFA paperwork, to include F1s, F4s, 5320.20s (interstate transfer forms) and so on in my trunk in a gun case, so that where ever I am, I have the forms. In addition, I keep a few 35% shrunk down and laminated forms on a ball-chain necklace when I go hiking if I bring any NFA stuff. It's never been an issue, but I've only really had a lot of NFA stuff in Colorado and Montana, both very gun-friendly states.

rc shooter,if you dont mind what brand fold overtop stock is that,it looks to be metal,i thought they were mostly plastic/fiberglass?me likey" lots,i can see it better in your pic, im looking for a buttstock for my winchester 1200 to match my john mason forend.thanks.nice shotguns eveyone.

thanks for the response, PTK! like i said, the PGO isn't that appealing to me necessarily, but the short barrels sure are. i'll look into it further. thanks!

Although the side-by-side is just a range toy, the 870 usually wears a full stock. ;)
