My next outreach project hopes to touch a new audience by sharing the fact that shooting is about family, American tradition and freedom. I need some photos for a new website that shows, mothers and their children, at the range or armed if possible, fathers and sons hunting together, grandparents and their grandchildren. If you can help a brother, I would greatly appreciate it. These photos will be used in the flash portion of the site.

I am about to launch something huge in '08 family. If you can help with this, I'd appreciate it.

I have one archery picture if you like (nice group of people, young and old) but all the firearms ones are singles.

Edit: if you need only US images then disregard, because mine is from the UK.

I'll take the archery photos, especially since I am starting to dig it. I want to use some that haven't been published with the exception of King Volk who rules in this domain.

1. Go to the Single Action Shooting Society website.
2. Pick a club and go to their webpage.
3. Go to photos section.
4. Start Downloading.
Example:
Pemi Valley Peacemakers shoot at Pemi Fish and Game club in Holderness, NH. From the SASS site you can get to PV Peacemakers and photos. From there, you can get to Pemi F&G club and other event photos. You can also link to other clubs in the area and get their photos. Or, you can go to Google Image Search and get photos.

Look up "One Nation Under Gun". It's largely a picture book that is pretty close to what you described except they are in their homes instead of in the field or at the range. There was an article about it in Newsweek I believe.

It shows a wide range of Americans and their families, including their kids, being photgraphed in their homes with their guns, from SKS's to AR's to S&W revolvers. Large and small families, single folk, every race, creed and area of the country you could think of was covered.

Each one talks a little about their guns and what they do with them, hunting, target shooting, home defense.

Very well done book. The overall message, IMHO, was "look America, gun owners are your neighbors, not a bunch of drunken rednecks in pick-up trucks shooting up road signs.

I like your idea too. Showing images of 3 generations of nice normal family folks out walking some cut over corn for ringnecks or walking the brush for quail, or in a tree stand with their son or daughter at dawn waiting on a white tail is a great idea.

I get tired of hearing that it's only a middle aged white man's sport (and I AM a middle aged white guy). Most of the folks that think that have never been to the range or fields where I shoot. Good luck.

He won't be wanting photos from books, folks.
There is a small matter concerning copyright.
