Like the thread title says, I picked up a model 28 12ga pump action today!:D It looks like it was built in the early 20th century, but the bluing is still excellent and it checked out with my local gunsmith.

However, he recommended that I NOT disassemble it due to its internal complexity. Since it's my first shotgun, and I don't have a manual for it, I'm heeding his advice.

Does anybody have any information on the Model 28, especially internal diagrams?

Looks helpful. Thanks! I'm really in need of a disassembly guide though.

Some were take down shotguns. On the end of the mag tube is a little latch. Depressing the latch and pulling it forward will free the barrel to unscrew. Easy to clean that way no need to disasemble. :)

Yep, I figured out that much. Really easy to take down and clean. I do really want to completely dissemble it and give it a through cleaning though.
