And it is really nice. I won't get to shoot it for a couple of weeks so I will withhold any definitive judgement until then.

    A couple of observations:

It is very nicely made. I have some light casting lines, but the action is smooth and the gun is tight.

There is a slight gap where the grips meet the frame, but those will be gone soon so no worries.

I really like the sight picture; it is well done and easy to use.

The trigger is acceptable for what it is. I will play with it a bit to see if I can improve it.

    A couple of random thoughts:

Not to start the whole RR vs Wrangler thing again, but the Wrangle feels like a real gun. I checked out a RR while I was doing my background and they just feel cheap. I know they work, but they do not have the same quality feel of the Ruger.

If Ruger could pull this off in a +P .38 Spl, it would make a very nice trail gun. I hope they are able to build off this concept.

I will post an update after I shoot it and hope my observations stay the same.

Since Ruger appears to be making inroads into the budget handgun market, I would not be opposed to them making budget center fired SA and DA revolvers.

I sadly had to sell my Vaqueros and GP100 awhile back. I'd love to replace them but they are so expensive now.

You'll like the sights now, but once you get to the range you probably won't. Hopefully your Wrangler hits to POA.

Idk if the cylinders are long enough for a .38, would be cool idea if it was, but others have said maybe a .32 ACP and a .380 or 9mm 5 shot would be possible. That I would like to see.

I picked my Wrangler up Friday. Haven't got it to the range yet. I'm impressed with the quality considering the price.

Gunny doesn't look for new dealers, new dealers look for gunny.

The dealer that’s getting my Wranglers for me is a friend and I’m in no rush.
But then he has a Uberti SAA in 357 Mag. Like new for $399. I might buy it while I wait on the Wranglers.

Who cares what Ruger would say. I have no brand loyalty. I buy what works and what I like. But I am looking forward to getting two black Wranglers.

My only dealer is good to work with and he will call me when he gets some Wranglers in. I may have to pay a little more but I prefer to work with local people.

When I picked up my shotgun about 3 weeks ago, I asked the shop owner (clearly out of curiosity rather than intent to buy) what availability and street price was looking like on wranglers. He said he thought they would be unobtainable for a few weeks, but to appease me he looked on his suppliers website.... after banging the keyboard for about 2 minutes he shot me a price and said he had 6 of each color on the way, and I had my pick if I wanted one. I declined, he called me yesterday and said he had them in stock now and had sold 4 before he got them entered into his log book.... I’m starting to like my neighborhood FFL... wife hates him.

I'm likely to buy the first Wrangler that I see. That said, some HRRs have the capability to fire .22 Magnums where Wranglers won't. tom. :(

I'm hoping for a Vaquero with a partial Wrangler treatment to bring it closer to my price neighborhood.
