Picked a GW 2 up from SOG just before they shut-down for iirc was under $400 shipped. Was a great shooter with 45 LC but just got a cylinder for .45 ACP from EMF and it is wickedly accurate with plain-Jane .45 ACP FMJ. Like same ragged hole at 10 yards off hand shooting fairly quickly.

I’m calling it my “FAUX-LT” revolver since my other Colts are autos.

I did replace the weird “cylinder pin safety” with a NOS colt one that fits a little tighter and can be a bear to remove with the ACP cylinder.

maybe some stags to go with my 1911?

Love me some SA goodness.
I just scored a nickel plated 45 Colt Uberti for $200.00 last Friday. It's pretty beat up, but that's the way I like em.
Yours is sweet, and I gotta find a 45 ACP cylinder for mine.

Absolutely! Stags make any gun look great, but they just seem to "fit" an SAA. I have a Cimarron Frontier 357 inbound as we speak, to replace a Taurus and a Heritage 357. Both had transfer bars and just didn't feel "right" in the action. The Cimarron is supposed to have a 4 click, non-safety hammer and by all accounts is the same as a GW II. Does the Colt cylinder pin need any fitting? I think I might mod one for this new gun if it comes with the "safety " pin.

the new old stock cyl pin dropped right in with the 45LC

It was tighter with 45 ACP cylinder but I polished it lightly with steel wool and lubed it. No issues then. Cylinder needed a little polish to fit but very little effort.

Thanks much! Where did you get your pin, by the way?
