I am looking forward to being done with my collection. Guns are expensive. It is stressful trying to decide which one to get next, hoping that it fits and functions. And it's stressful trying to save money in time to buy a gun before some moron at the factory redesigns it or discontinues it. Worse still, some dingbat upstate OUTLAWS the thing. But these are peripheral concerns in contrast to other issues.
I am primarily anxious to be done because I am tired of all the hoops. The big yellow form, the questions, the stress of having to splay open my life and DMV record to some guy at a gun store and having to prove time and time again via a demonstration that I know how to load, unload, and safety check a firearm.
I'm going gun shopping tomorrow. I know what I want. I know where I am going to get it. And if I can work a deal on a trade-in it will be mine. Hopefully. HOPEFULLY it will be my last. Because, frankly, I'm tired of buying. I just want to be able to sit back and look at my modest gathering knowing, they're mine and I am DONE.
