If you had to carry a 'pocket' gun as your primary which of these options would you prefer, assuming cost is not a major concern.

Kahr PM380
Ruger LCP
NAA (North American Arms) 380

I am leanings towards the Kahr or the NAA.

n.o.t.a.

pf9/p3at perhaps
I occasionally can't carry a gun, so I carry a KT p32 ... those occasions are amazingly rare in day-to-day life, IWB concealment of a compact autoloader (3.5" officer's 1911 down to KT pf9) is just so darned easy that I rarely need a pocket rocket.

Of the three listed, LCR. I will always prefer a spur-less hammer or concealed-hammer revolver for pocket carry.

My personal real-life choice, outside the boundaries of the poll: SP101 or S&W Centennial, depending upon the size of the pocket. Over time, I have accumulated enough garments with big pockets, so as to be able to carry the SP101 most of the time.

Edited to add: I answered your poll as posted, with LCR as a choice. Your original post, however, says LCP. I would not choose LCP. I was not the first to reply to the poll, so I do not think changing the poll is ethical, if that is possible, if it changes my vote.

I do like the Ruger LCP,except the heavy trigger pull. I like the Keltec better. But of those LCP for sure

Of the mini .380s you listed id take the kahr. I like the ability to have usable sights.

KelTec P3AT in my pocket when I pocket carry . That about 1/2 the time now days.
Sorry my self I will take a KelTec over the others I have 5 now and never had 1 bit of trouble from them .

pocket cary

I prefer pocket cary be as a back up. I have an LCP and 640 SW The ability to use a hammerless in any condition including while in a coat pocket apeaals to me. I don't want to get long winded as I am remembered for here.
Have a good day.

Pardon me for bringing this up.
My new thread as a possible CCW first-timer (very little handgun exposure) in this forum concerns this also. Please contribute to that if you can, because my only guns are rifles.

What is the best place to conceal a small handgun elsewhere (a fanny pack seems high profile), with quick access if you tuck in shirts on hot days?

what about the P32?
That's what I was going to say. When choosing between the P32 and the P3AT, I chose the extra round and the LSHO feature over the marginally more effective round.

Why not pocket carry a Glock 26? I manage to do it.
Different strokes -- I've tried it and I hate it. If your pants fit snug, you feel and look like you've got a brick in your pocket. If your pants fit loose, that brick bounces off your leg with every step you take.

While don't own any of the three choices you gave I voted for the Ruger LCR for the reason if I'm face with a situration where I don't really know how good a weapon is and how reliable it will be I will go with a revolver. I did just this for many years but for the last 18 months have use a ruger LC9 and have not had a problem with it except early on the rear site came loose a little loctie and all is well now.

be safe

I've never shot any of those.
I would pass on the NAA.
The Ruger LCR would be okay if it is the same size as a J-frame and the grip isn't too big.
I pocket carried a Kahr PM9 and it was about as cumbersome as a J-frame, so the Kahr should be okay.

My preference is a Kel-Tec P3AT or LCP 380 for the best compromise of size, weight & capacity; however, I do not view it as a primary gun unless restricted by circumstances.

For the better part of a year, my daily primary was an lcp. It was light, accurate, and i actually shoot it better than my lcr! That blew me away. The lcr is such a sweet shooter with a nice trigger and the lcp is just...not. but the proof is in the paper. I shoot the lcp better.

After a couple of brash armed robberies in my business neighborhood, ive upgraded to a g26. The lcp was always something i considered fine for my level of potential threat. I feel much better with a higher cap 9mm.

i didnt know i could pick a gun not on the list or i would have.....
