Mike - still keeping in mind my original date choice - no change on that yet - and hope now to stick to it. May 28 - a Saturday.

As I said - another week or two and I'll try and firm up plans even more.

Useful link Chip - tho it doesn't mention the smaller route numbers.

I have added a bit to that map - just to give a basic idea of where range is. There'll be much more detail later if we can go ahead on this location.

Hi - Ho , looks like TheHighroad may be coming to Portage , we'll have to have a carnival or something :neener:

If you think the town is remote wait till you head up to the range

But seriously we should firm up some numbers before we make a final range decision, depending on numbers one facility may be better than the other.

Not to disillusion anyone , this is a great range but being quite remote it has no "facilities", it was built to get the heavy boomers away from the houses springing up around the "main" clubhouse range.

We'll see how it develops, meanwhile I'll run it by the club for that date.

Just one quick final nudge. I will then quite soon kick off another thread re fixing something properly.

Seems we will only have quite limited numbers and so if that is way it goes, we can consider shooting at Portage long range... as long as caseydog can OK it. Nice spot and would work very well. More details will be supplied, including detailed directions. Still thinking right now of May 28.

P95Carry, just found this thread (gotta start reading "Rallying Point"). May 28 is clear at this point, so I'll pencil it in. Just under three hours for me, but I'd make the drive to meet some THR folks. I'll subscribe to this thread ... and a new one if you set it up. Keep me posted.

OK folks - time to start honing this down and knocking into shape. Hopefully all who subscribed to this thread will be aware - and go to my new thread HERE which I have just started.

Let's see if we can't make this an enjoyable number.

vitamin g,

170,000 miles is a brand new car! try driving a Honda with 323,000 on it like mine :what:

I grew up in Washington County so maybe I can road trip out for a weekend... :)
