1. Steyr AUG - I'm not going to wait and see if Steyr will bring out a civvie AUG or not, so I am just going to go and just jump in head first and drop about $2800 on an AUG A1 or A2 with the fixed optic and quick detach barrels (I like the traditional design on the optic and the ability to switch the barrel).

2. Zastava M-92 Krinkov - I love the little B!tch (little b!tch the russian militiary designation for the Krink). There is something great about these little rifles, and even though this little Zastava is in 7.62 and not 5.45 like I would prefer, I think it will still be a major forve to be reckoned with at the range. Sleek folding stock, smooth, tight trigger, and rough, solid and austere design to create a gun that breeds mayhems and fear and oozes Russian-ness.

Vector Arms RPD Semi Auto - I just decided on getting one of these today, but I think it is a worth while decision because they are not going to be around forever, and not only that, they are already expensive, $2000, but that price will only be going up over the next few years. The more I thought about it the more I fell in love with the rifle - I love Kalashnikov rifles, I would love to have a belt feld, this is rally my only chance to get a belt bed at a reasonable price in a caliber that I like...so on and so on.

4 - Armalite AR-30 chamber in .338 Lapua - "One of these is not like the otherssssss"The AR-30 may not be much like the other rifles here, but, perhaps, in spirit, it is; the .338 Lapua round doesn't quite get the credit it deserves and much like my hero Mikhail Kalashnikov it is a very powerful round but doesn't fully get the credit it deserves under the equally deserving .50 BMG. I'm hoping to buy to the AR 30 with the next year or three and shoot it initially only out to about threee hundred yards, but eventually I would like to make my way out as far as I can possibly go with it. I know .338 Lapua is capable to hit out all the way out to 1800 yards or so, but I would question that coming out of an autoloader, but I'm really not sure....

Anyone else want to post the list of buys they will be making in the next year or two? Yes, I understand this will make evidence will will have to keep under-wraps from ours wives and girlfriends (lets they pistol whip us) but it is always fun to dream about what to buy next.

i very rarely make lists. i kind of have a feel for what i want, and in a roundabout way, i work towards it. in the past, when i have made lists, i found that although i completed my list, there were a bunch of extras thrown in. so i don't even try anymore. besides, an occasional irrational impulse buy is fun.

all that said, in the next 12 months, i expect to acquire a rem 700 vls in 223, a rem 700 lvsf in 221 fireball, a rem 700 lss in 338 rum, a rem 700 lss in 375 rum, and a colt saa. we'll see what pops up in between there, though. in the back of my mind a rem 700 ti in 7-08, and a rem rangemaster in 223 also lurk...

leupolds on all, except the colt. heavy rifles will get warne rings and bases, light rifles will get talley lightweights. some will get replacement triggers, the rest will just have the triggers tuned. all, except the colt, will be bedded and floated, and none will have any goofy locks.

Probably just FN's F2000 semi when it comes out. Not much else is catching my fancy. Maybe a Remington 700 PSS or a Steyr Jeff Cooper Scout.

My list is still the same..
- Winchester 1894C 357 magnum
- Keltec SU-16
- Something that I can make myself.

I'm hoping to add a K-31 to the collection this weekend.....

beyond that who knows.....

Winchester or Remington 1917
.357/.38 Lever gun

Those are the only plans for the forseeable future.

Of course, most of my buys are impulse buys, so the above may or may not actually get bought.

The next firearm I buy will be the next one that 'calls' to me. Serendipity is a wonderful thing. In the past it has led me to such joys as the 1937 vintage Walther Sportmodell V .22lr, my Garand, my SIGs, the PCR that needed a good home, and most recently, a stainless .44 Magnum Virginian Dragoon.

Every time I take a notion I 'need' something, it seems that sometimes something 'better' finds me first. I think it works well for me, at least. That's not to say that I don't pick up things that are on the 'perpetual BOLO list'. I've passed several Winchester 94's while looking for one that talks.

Regards,
Rabbit.

i don't know that it constitutes a list, but I'm planning on buying a Yugo SKS in the next couple weeks, unless someone decides to buy it for me/give me the money for it for graduation (tomorrow) or my birthday (next Sunday). haha i know it sounds bad, but I'm hoping for one of the latter :p

New series Colt Gold Cup.

A .300WinMag Encore Rifle.

Another M1-A.

A K-31.

A Ruger GP-100 6"bbl Stainless

A Ruger SP101 .357

Arsenal USA SLR-7

Last year was a country music song for me, but from now on I'm playing it backwards.

I've already gotten an SP-101 for CCW and a Mosin M-39.

My next purchase will be of a Romak-3 in 7.62x54R with iron sights. It's like a giant AK-47.

I also intend to get a new reloading bench set up by next year.

Colt type 9mm AR15, to be Form 1ed at a later date. Of course, its being purchased in pieces. This was my next planned purchase, put on the back burner because of a good deal on a G17.

AK-patterned rifle, 20" AR15, 20" Mossberg 590 with iron sights (dedicated slug gun).

I dont plan on any pistols, I'm a 1911 guy and have several to choose from. However if I find a good deal on a plain-jane non-PXT Para P14.45 (SA or LDA), when I have money, I'll probably get it.

I'm an impulse buyer, making plans for this or that doesnt do me much good.

Here are the ones most likely to follow me home this year:

Revolvers:
S&W 617 and 65. I have a J frame .22 and L frame .357 now. I like them but the K frames are calling to me.

Rifles:
M1 and K31. I don't know how much longer these will be readily available so they get bumped ahead of some more pedestrian rifles.

Autoloaders:
S&W 1911SC. There's a limited number of 1911s available new to those of us in the Commonwealth. I think this is one of the best.

Shotguns:
I'm not really in the market for one but if I stumble across a good deal on a Browning A5, who knows?

My personal list honestly changes every few months. Nothing currently in the queue, though I am in early negociations ("figure out what you need for that") for a used AK w/ accessories.

A chunk of gun money went for a club membership a month ago, something completely new to me. I've got a class coming up I kind of want to retake, and that and ammo for that will further burn through fundage.

Looking at 1)progressive press, and reloading consumables, 2)scout rail and further pimpage for my Ruger assault rifle wanna-be. 3)more ammo (one or more kilorounds of cheap 7.62x39, ditto 9x18).

I'd like to get a Winchester Model 70 Classic chambered in .375 H&H one of these days. I'll probably pick up another rifle from the CMP North store this summer too. I have not decided if I should get another M1, an 03A3, or a 1917 Enfield (If they still even have any left).

I plan on checking out the CMP North Store this summer when I go to the National Matches. Depending on the condition of what is displayed a M1 or an 03A3 will probably follow me home.

- Ruger GP-100 4" stainless
- Glock 17 9mm
- Beretta Tomcat .32ACP for CCW
- Shotgun, probably 20G pump, home defense
- Marlin 1894C .357M lever for fun
- lots of ammunition, practice, and perhaps some self-defense/tactical classes, and a GUN SAFE.

Currently have
- Marlin 336W .30-30
- Winchester M94 Trapper .357M. Attractive rifle, handles well but factory trigger *sucks*
- NEF Sportster single shot .17HMR, vermin beware. It should be legal to shoot seagulls (flying rats)
- Taurus PT22 (this gun is only effective at arm's length . . .)

Love to have a semi-auto carbine (PC9/Mini-14) just because the ammo is so cheap.

Don't know if prices or taxes are any better in Washington state (moving in August) than Ohio. Also don't know how restrictive the legislation is in WA. Anybody know?

jmm

1) PTR-91 or XCR in 5.56mm ... not sure which
2) The other one from above
3) SBR'd LMT carbine

It will definitely take longer than a year, but that is my upcoming rifle wishlist.

Dream list.........

Merkel 96K Drilling, 12 gauge double over a varmint caliber (222, 223, etc), varmints and birds on same outing....

Freedom Arms Model 97, .17HMR with extra .17Mach2 cyl....

Navy Arms 1875 Schofield, 7", .45 Colt...

SOCOM.......... what can I say?

Styer Mannlicher SBS in '06........

The Merkel I might have to wait on at $7K+, but the others will be bought in the not too distant future.
