Got my stack of primers today. 7000+ what I already had on hand will keep me going for a year or more. Add that to the rather large quantity of loaded ammo I already have and I should be gtg through the coming ammo shortage near November.

Powder Valley has almost everything in stock, but prices of the cheap primers have gone up a fair amount with Tula at $20-25/box. CCI is plentiful and at good prices still, and most of the others are at $30/box. Powder Valley's Haz-mat fee is up since my last order. It used to be $20 and now is $27ish.

Since I'm getting a new rifle in May, I'll have to wait a couple of months before I have enough disposable cash to place the large bullet order. I'm fairly set on most powders except for H4895. I need more of that as soon as I have the cash for a 8# jug.

Just trying to beat the shortages. What, if anything, are you all doing this election cycle?

Powder Valley is out of Tula small pistol primers now. I was going to order some but I guess I will have to keep an eye out for when they are back in stock. Can't beat $20 a brick.

I ordered a bunch from Wideners not to long ago. Wolf Primers for 15.50 a thousand when I bought them, I bought 30k, and 30 lbs of powder. I already had a good stock and have been making a lot of ingols out of wheel weights. I have more pistol brass than I can use in my lifetime. I will continue to look for deals. I'm already more worried about Hillary in 2016 than I am this election...

I just got a order in from them. 4 pounds of Herco and 4 pounds of Unique. Plus a few thousand large pistol primers. Have been adding what I can when I can. Unfortunately I can not afford to get all I want at once.

But I did come to the realization paying the hazmat fee sucks but after figuring the higher cost local, plus tax, plus gas and time. It comes out in the wash.

the haz mat fee went up long time ago. 27.50 is what is charged now. stockup the the norm now. getting hard to find any military pull down stuff.

I made an order a couple of days ago for bullet components. I was disappointed that I was charged $28 shipping for 4000 bullets. They really need to upgrade their online shopping system to include shipping costs. The "shipping guidelines" on the front page weren't even close to what I was actually charged.

I was wondering what the shipping was, my buddy has just told me that their shipping fees went up, does anyone know what they charge for shipping?

Shipping fees depend on what you order & where you live.
Heavier orders mean heavier shipping fees.
The further you live from them (Winfield, Kansas), the more you'll pay.

I just ordered 5K primers.
Shipping was $9.95

I just received 2000 bullets from Rimrock (Montana 68#s) flat rate USPS $15.00. With diesel at $4.00+/gal I don't see shipping costs coming down anytime soon.

I called in an order with them (Powder Valley) a couple of days ago, and I will pick it up at their site in Winfield, KS next Friday on my road trip to Washington, DC for Rolling Thunder. I will probably look like the Beverly Hillbillies once everything is strapped/bungied on the bike. I only have to go to Ohio and drop it off at my brother's house, and he will bring it out to me in Arizona next month when he comes out for P-Dog shooting. It saves me Haz-mat and shipping.

While I was on the phone with them I asked about Wolf primers. They indicated their importer was in some sort of legal battle and was not getting any more for the forseeable future. I also talked with Widners and they said the same thing. Both companies also said their suppliers have told them there will probably be shortages and long delays for components starting this summer or sooner.

I am glad I am stocking up again now, the same as I did before the last election.
