Seasons Greetings,
I have a pre 64 featherweight model 70 in 30-06 that has been in my safe for several years. I now want to give it a little attention and field the thing. I am not a big scope guy and want to utilize the iron sights. However, this particular rifle came from the factory with a not so user friendly flip down rear sight with pretty crude adjustment capabilities. I want to replace it and keep the original front sight. Anyone have a good suggestion on what I should replace it with? I'm not completely opposed to a receiver sight but would prefer to use the lot for the original sight and not crazy about the idea of drilling holes.
