Like the fellow said on the movie Armageddon...... "It's time to embrace the horror!" :D

But seriously, you'll like the results.

I just bought this trimmer and started using it today. I like the pilot idea. Every case measures spot on so far. I am happy to see them within +-.0005. My only other foray into trimming was with a Lee quick trim and it pretty much was a piece of junk.

One question I have is whether it would be a bad idea to chuck the cutter in a drill press and just hold the cases in your hand instead of using the case holder. I have trimmed a few by hand just holding the case and not anchoring it in the holder and they seem no different. I can't imagine my hands getting any more worn out by this than having to tighten and loosen each case from the case holder. I can see where you may not be holding them completely level under a drill press but, holding the case holder in one hand and the cutter in the other still offers the same problem. Thoughts?

Should work just fine. I used a battery drill. If it had been a lot of brass, I would have chucked it up in the lathe. Folks use drill presses to trim all the time.
