Vegas is doing okay. Several cases of .223 at the local gun store yesterday- <$500 per case. Tons of 9mm and .40 cases.

If we ever get our butts out of Iraq, that is when the prices will REALLY drop.

Visited my local shop today, had plenty in stock...however prices were $6 greater than 1 month ago... $24/50 american eagle .40s&w...

Plentiful but Costly

Visited Arego's Gun and Pawn in Hot Springs, AR on Friday. Apart from .380 auto it seems they have everything and in large amounts. Bought 100rds of CCI mini-mags, 100 round box of Winchester White Box .38 Special FMJ's and a brick of .22 LR American Eagle's all for something like $65 and change. Everything seemed plentiful but rather costly.

mississippi is looking up

Went on a search for ammo today. I was amazed at all that I found. Stopped at the gulfport walmart, got 7 100rd valve packs, left 4 boxes for the next guy. They also had bout a case of wwb value pack .38 special, and 4+ federal .22 bulkpacks.

Next I went to academy. They had 3+ cases of monarch 7.62x39, a bunch of monarch .223/5.56. In wwb they had .308 (8), .45acp(6), 9mm (over a case). They had more calibers represented, that all I specifically remember though. I only bought 1/2 a case of the 7.62x39.

I do believe that the tide is starting to turn, first we will start to see ammo on the shelves again, then the primers will begin to reappear. I hope.

Only thing I'm seeing at WalMart in our area is an increase in 22-everything else is spotty/non-existent.
I do tend to hit a number of WalMarts as only certain ones carry Federal 223 100-rd Value Paks, and they all seem to still have low/no inventory on 'bout all ammo.

Hit 4 local Wally-Worlds today. No 9mm, .38-357,.380, .45 ACP, .44 mag, .223, .243, .308, .30-06, .22 bulk packs. One store did have a 250 round box of UMC .40 S&W for $67.95 but I don't shoot much .40. Sportsman's Warehouse looked like my dining room table after my family gets done with Thanksgiving dinner. No ammo, bullets, primers, powder, or brass. Plenty of shotgun shells and blackpowder stuff.
