Is under $600 a good price on a CZ P01? LGS said he could order one for about $590? Lotus guns, "an over priced large FL store that stocks Kimber, Baer, Ed Brown etc., wanted $779 for one, "Over msrp". Trying to find a happy medium. The Compact is easier to find and less money at around $525, for a new one. I just like the look of the extended dust cover on the 01.
Plus if they are close to fair I would rather shop local, than get it from Buds.
I have seen them as low as 500 on gun broker, but I would rather see the gun first unless it was a super deal, but with shipping it's not worth 30 or 40 dollars not knowing what's coming.

Ya after paying shipping and transfer fee's that's probably a fair price. What's your plans with the gun? Carry or range weapon?

I plan on making it my carry in rotation with 4 other 9's, or taking one out and selling it. But I do or did carry an XDS, as my main gun, with may be a bit much with the 15 round cz, I will have to play it by ear.

I think I paid a little over $500 a couple of years ago for my P-01, so just under $600 sounds like it's a fair price. Any room there to wheel and deal on the bottom line with the dealer?

I went through Grab-a-gun to get my P01, but that was a few years ago now, and no one locally stocked them. Even back then I think I paid $540 with shipping, plus another $25 for the tansfer fee. But, I didn't pay sales tax.

If in Florida, you might try the chain Shoot Straight. A lot of people bad mouth them for their prices, but they are good at haggling over price, especially if you show them an online dealer's advertisement. They may not match the price, but they'll usually drop their price considerably.

I saw one in a local gun shop that has fair prices, and I think it was around $575. I already have the 75D PCR, but if I didn't I would have bought it.
