After complaining to the local gun shop for about 2 years, they FINALLY started stocking CZs!

Then I looked at the prices: $620 for a 75BD? $650 for a Satin nickel 75? $699 for an SP-01? Most of those prices are a good $30 over MSRP.

Good Lord...I got my CZ-75 for $350 NIB at a gun show less than two years ago:

To think they have nearly DOUBLED in price.... :(

As long as buyers keep paying for over-priced stuff, prices will continue to rise. Watch the automobile market and all their discounts when folks stopped buying. Just my .02 worth.

CZs are finally catching up with other European guns, but charging more than retail should give you a hint to shop somewhere else.
Or your Dealer should actually be willing to deal.

Or maybe you could find a good deal from an online seller and do the transfer through that dealer, I think that would get the message across that he is charging too much.

CZs were underpriced for a couple years for what you got, and folks eventually figured that out. Combine that with Obama-fever and prices have gone nuts.

I saw a Colt AR-15 model 6920 the other day go for $2199! And two guys were fighting over it. I paid less than half of that for my first one just a short while back.

On the other hand, I'm glad Americans are exercising their rights to protect themselves!

FFLs near me won't do transfers on any guns they can get in their own store stock and sell at their set price. It's total BS, but.. what can ya do ?. It's probably s the reason I don't own a CZ.

Also , have you looked at CZ prices on common online seller's sites ? They're going up like crazy there too.

Quit buying guns. Shoot what you've got.

I got into CZs when they were around $300. The last one I bought new was an Sp01 when they first came out. It was a little over $400.

I've since started buying other things like reloading equipment and supplies.

I didn't hesitate when a friend offered me his NIB CZ-75D PCR Compact two weeks ago for $360. He got it at an estate auction about a year and a half ago, never shot it and said he didn't really need it. I've always wanted one exactly like it and I'm glad I was patient. Good things happen to those who wait, I guess. :D

My son just picked up a new CZ75b for 560.00 out the door. Shooters in Augusta Ga.

Sucks your dealers are so thuggish. I guess it would hurt my feelings too if someone wanted to buy something they could have gotten from me then have me transfer it.

My LGS is way cooler, he understood he couldn't hope to compete with the Glock LE package, no hard feelings. Plus I got my first one from him.

My CZ is an 04 manufacture Semi-compact model. Iv got over 3K rounds through it with no malfunctions of any kind: not even user error, not even with steel or aluminum cased ammo.

As for the dealer, They are usualy over-priced because they are the only game in town. My only other options are 40 miles west or 25 miles east. :( They are normaly willing to haggle though so its not all bad.

I just spied (locally) a beautiful two-tone CZ75 Compact for $509.

That is some serious money for a CZ , but you get some real steel there. At least by my thinking.

Once camp may cry that CZ will no longer be considered a economy priced brand..

While others will not be able to use the term "euro trash" or
refer to them as cheaply made junk guns.

TripleL. Great price on that PCR....I think I paid 480 from Budsgunshop several years back.

Mr. Trooper. Just a idea....post an add on Craigslist or other online souce looking for a FFL that will do a transer for you at a good price.

MSRP is not usually what we pay out here, and under what some locations charge. Compared to MSRP on some other popular models, it's still economical, best bang for the buck.
The brand new CZ P07, available in April, is MSRP'd for only $508!

I have a 99.9999% cz 97B with about 350 rounds through it. It shoots great and has never jammed. I am however thinking about getting something else that I could enjoy more. Is 500 a fair price? 450?

I just picked up a CZ 75B very lightly used for $399.00 I don't think that's a bad price at all. You just need to look around and there's nothing wrong with buying used. 3/4 of my pistols were bought used otherwise I couldn't afford so many!

I bought a NIB CZ75B 9mm about 4 months ago. I loved it. I put a crimson trace laser grip on it and loved it even more. Then about 400 rounds later, I bought a CZ PCR and I like it even better because I can conceal it very easily. I have also ordered Marschal grips for the PCR. I have only shot about 30 rounds through the 75B since getting the PCR. I don't need it anymore. I paid $445 plus about $35 tax. I got the CT laser grips for $239. That's about $619 or thereabouts. If someone near by wanted it and had $600. I'd be hard pressed to say no, but if I never sell it, that's ok too.

Just wait, you will want to shoot it again sometime. Besides, I know I am not the only one who gets enjoyment out of owning more than one member of a family. What's your PCR going to do without papa bear?

How do the crimson trace grips feel compared to the factory rubber grips on the PCR/P01? I really love the way the rubbers felt, the wood I have on it now looks great and feels great as well, but those rubber grips just glued the PCR into my hand.

Are the Crimson Traces the same way?

I really like the SP01 and the compact versions of the CZ 75 and would be a player in the $300 to $350 but local prices are outrageous.
