So I'm pretty new to reloading. I got into it 3 years ago. Loaded thousands of rounds and just now finished Shootin' em up. One thing I didn't realize until now, is when everyone's afraid, you can't buy primer or powder anywhere!. Is there a magic trick to finding small rifle primers and powder even if you're willing to pay the price? I have 600 primers left and just enough hodgins to cover that but I'm screwed after.... When I 1st got into this everything was readily available any quantity I wanted. :-(...... I found some small rifle primers online that are available but they come from Australia and they do not export to the US... The irony, I know. I'm pretty sure what everyone's answers are gonna be but why not ask just to make sure?

Now I have to step away from my Hornady book......Any good suggestions for online load data or can you generally go the powder's site to find what you need? I have and just ordered Hodgen only.

Things seem to be shaking loose some now. Hopefully things will be available for a reasonable cost in the near future. Your take away should be to buy enough when things are available ( hopefully when on sale) and you have the funds to keep you insulated from these lean times. I buy like this as a hedge against cost increases and supply disruptions. Took me a few cycles to see what my balance was though.
To answer the last question, there are lots of types of info on the net and I am always on the lookout for reloading data books on line and in person. Like to be able to put my finger (or hilighter) on specific book data.;)

Buy as much as you need to stock up, most of us are. The extra cost of buying a few 1,000 primers at 2x is OK if you don’t like worrying or hunting for deals.
