So I received a replacement for my problematic PT1911, and I got to take it out to the range for the first time today. It wasn't anything fancy, just a test run to make sure everything was working properly. I used 50 rounds of Federal American Eagle 230 grain, at a distance of 20 ft. Keep in mind that I am new to .45's (and 1911's in general), so while I am happy with the results, it may not stack up to what some of you veteran's can produce:
After I was done I ran about 50-60 rounds (WWB plinking rounds, 20 ft.) through my 9mm M&P, and quickly realized how much of an adjustment it can be going from the Single Action to a Double! But, I still managed to put up a good fight against the paper:
