I bought a PTR-91 C last month,come with a compensator,I want to remove it and put on a HK-91 Flash Hider. Does this compsnsator appear to be welded on? if so whats the best way to remove?
If it is similar to what Century did years ago you will have to cut it off. Use a dremel and make cuts lengthwise, and peel it like a bannana. I started my cuts from the front and opened them up with a cold chisel to split the bannana cuts open more. After a little work it split and peeled off. Century actually had a piece that was pressed into a blind spot, so cutting it was the only option.
