except in this case. the pump isnt better than a semi auto. i love manual transmissions (real ones, not this paddle/SMG crap) but gas system is WAY stronger than the pump. an AK's gas system just rips a shell out of the chamber with such force its unbeatable by the human arm. this si so the AK can cycle the most outta spec ammo in a dirty chamber. the pump would be difficult and awkward to use if you ask me

Another problem would be finding replacement parts for the pump action. I sold my par-1 and I now have a saiga which is a much better rifle. It didn't cost much more than that par in the ad. Mark

Let's get realistic here. I don't think "red dawn" is going to happen anytime soon.
Besides what happens with an autoloader when the "outta spec" on your ammo happens to be with the pressure curve?
ammunition produced by dozens of countries since 1945. in all variations of storage conditions, construction methods and quality control. to be used in guns designed to be run by conscripts, in Stalingrad conditions.
yup. im being unrealistic. i never mentioned anything about red dawn. but that would only serve to prove my point. better to have something that works, than want something that works
