Questions about Ar15

I was at a gun shop yesterday and they had a couple of Ar15's sitting out. I asked about the new Smith & Wesson models and they said their was a waiting list and they were telling people about a year plus for getting a new rifle in the configuration that you wanted from Smith & Wesson anyone else heard this ?
One more thing has anyone heard anything good about the m&p 15 22's . seems a lot cheaper to shoot and the price is about a thousand dollars less ? I like the ar's but the price is way to much right now .

Just wait prices are coming down. If you want a .22 LR get one but it is not a replacement for a real AR14 in 5.56. Usually people buy a .22 AR for practice and training. If you just want a plinker though go with a .22.
