I'm thinking of raising funds for a 1911 in .45ACP ($800 - $1000 range).

To do that, I probably need to sell one or two of my current handguns. Off limits is my GP100, PM9 and STI Trojan in 9mm. That leaves my glocks and sigs. I'm thinking the Sig P226 9mm should go as I would still have a P220. Although, the new 1911 could be a replacement for the Sig P220. Then, maybe one of the glocks. Currently have G19, G23, G26 and G27. I'm thinking either the G23 or G27.

Your thoughts?

I would say you probably don't NEED both the 26 and the 27.

I assume they're carry guns. Just decide if you would rather carry x rounds of .40 or carry x rounds of 9mm.

Same goes for the 19 and 23. What do you use the guns for? I ask this because I would probably keep the 19 and the 27. Bigger gun in 9mm for range/fun gun, more concealable gun in the more expensive .40 to chuck a heavier bullet at the punk trying to kill me.

Either way, I'd say sell some variation of the Glocks. They have no soul to be missed and are readily available if you ever want to replace them later.

I might suggest saving any extra hi-caps you have for them however. You might need those later. As in later when you can't buy them...

Keep the Sigs, and get rid of one of the Glocks. Glocks are great guns but you do have four of them. Keep the 19 and 23.

the 9mm 1911 is off limits. It is a wonderful shooting 1911 in an alternate caliber. With the input so far, seems the G23 and G26 are the likely candidates.

Get rid of the Glocks and the Sig P220 and KEEP the Sig P226. You'll have two .45's and they are expensive to feed. If you keep the 220 and sell the 226 you'll three .45's and one less 9MM.

i would get rid of the 23 and the 27, i prefer glocks in 9mm, so i would keep the 9mm glocks and get rid of the other glocks.
