I really want to try my hand at putting together a black powder kit.
I have wanted to do a small bore flintlock but that blunderbuss is pretty darn cool!
Thanks, it was pretty straightforward. Minimal carving and fitting, everything else was artistic interpretation. Definitely a satisfying project. I highly recommend giving it a go.
Yes sir, standard propane torch, walnut stain and then I did several layers of Tru-Oil.I keep looking at your pics , this thing "speaks to me" for some reason.
Did you use a torch to darken the wood before staining?

Old school battle worn if you will
Thanks, go get yourself a kit and dive in. It's worth it for the experience alone.Thanks.
I like it.
Very nice touch!
What rounds are those in the belt loops ?
Russian Makarov: the classic military version.
Don't be distracted by Paulina Andreeva - I don't know How to exclude her in this photo.
She was exploited so that people might notice possibly the most reliable semi-auto handgun ever manufactured.

I also have an ex-Nazi transferred to the East German VoPo J.P. Sauer 38H.jar:
Ihre deutsche Makarov ist Sehr Schön !
jar : No Way! How Schlimm are the odds?!
I also have the Sauer 38H, but the decocking spring can’t be kept working (by a seasoned gunsmith here). .. otherwise 100 percent reliable.
Very nifty gun and so appealing.
If we exclude the muzzle energy, and my sprang issue (well, 77 year-old Gun), it would be my Namba Wan handgun.
the coffee has kicked in…my other “Zig- Zire” is the true commercial P225, proofed near the Kiel U-Boat ‘pens’.
