Before I go any further let me say: I LOVE these new guns. Love them.

Had to trade a Beretta 9000s, and am currently trying to sell my XD...but these guns fit me much, much better.

Guns in question: Original Colt Series 70 1911 .45, and a Sig Sauer P226...both purchased used.

At seven yards these guns make one big ragged hole! I put about 250 rds through both guns.

FTF/FTE/Failures of any kind?: NONE.

PS: I Love my Colt...I....I really love my colt. I think we're best friends. (Except he is an SOB to diassemble and reassemble....I'm a 1911 newbie.)

Okay now I am just gonna watch Way of the Gun and lovingly pet my Colty. I just had to share.

Big thumbs up to Sig P226s and Colt original series 70s! The only gun I love as much is my SW 586. I think these three guns are all the guns any man would ever really need. So...why do I need the other billion I have? I guess it's a mystery....

I have a Colt Government Model Series 70 as well... it was my first .45 Auto.

My only complaint is that 'spring finger' bushing. I've heard too many reports of the fingers breaking and tying up the gun for me to be totally comfortable with it. Easily replaced... though I've not gotten around to doing that yet. :)
