Anyone had the chance to try out any of this ammo? ive researched Rare Ammo, seems they are U.S. based out of Louisiana. Ive got some .357 on the way to test out in my GP100 and Rossi Ranch hand. I know copper only ammo isnt a new concept, I had a box of light Magtech rounds in 9mm (95 grain I think). The price seems right, but I havent seen any chrono numbers online yet.

Taurus made cooper only rounds for the 45 cal tracker, it's not a new concept.

Barnes makes copper bullets too.

I've not seen too much in hand gun rounds but I've seen a fair amount in rifle rounds.

Here in CA there are hunting areas where lead is not allowed, so there is a market for copper bullets here.

Barnes has made a solid copper hp bullet for around 20 years. maybe a bit more. I still have some that PMC loaded waaay back. Horndy now has there version, the GMX. Most all the ammo company's buy from barnes for the lime up or like winny did spec a change to the barnes x series bullet for there use.

Cor-bons DPX line is made with the Barnes XPB bullets. All copper HP's

I load the XPB's in my SD 357's. Expensive, but vey good expansion.

Yep, Barnes makes the all-copper JHPs used by Taurus and Cor-Bon (and others).
Never heard of "C.O.P." rounds.

Also, New Generation Ammunition made a nickel-plated copper round called the Eliminator (later marketed as the Sentry). It had a plastic cap but that was only for feeding.
