Last week I went to the store to buy a Glock 43x under the Blue Label program. I was looking for a new belt carried conceal carry that's bigger than my S&W 442 I use for deep concealment but smaller than a full size handgun. When I got to the store I saw that they were selling Sigs under a similar program and that the P365 was the same price as the 43x and the P365XL was only about 60 dollars more. I hadn't really considered the Sigs before because Im still weary about the P365 striker drag issue (I know it's been resolved, but the fear still lingers) and the XL version was just significantly more expensive.

Anyways I decided to give the XL a try. The worst case scenario is I dont like the gun and I sell it for enough to buy the Glock.

Well it turns out that Im really enjoying this little gun. I have pretty large hands but the grip is still comfortable while still being very slim. The gun is accurate and the factory night sights are a good design. It's also cut for an optic and a Holosun K model is likely in the near future.

Shooting this gun is where I truly fell in love with it. It reminds me of a Glock 26 for the fact that it shoots more like a bigger gun than a small gun. It definitely will let you know if your grip techniques are lacking more so than a full size handgun, but it isnt hard to shoot well at all. 50 yard shots on a silhouette style target is not hard.

In short, Im a Glock guy but Im really liking this P365XL. If you are thinking about getting one I highly recommend it.

The size of this gun is great, but the shootability of it sets it apart from other small 9mms.

Tested the gun last week at work along side a buddies duty P320 compact. On another topic.... the P320 with a Wilson Combat grip is a fantastic handgun. The gas pedal take down lever works great but still stays out of the way. Not a big fan of the Sig handgun red dots, but he hasnt had any issues with his.

I dislike striker fired handguns, like to see and feel a hammer but I liked the P365 because it was available with a manual safety.
Have had it for about a year and grew to like it. About a month ago an XL with the safety and a Red Dot sight showed up at my local GS so I bought it. Couldn't shoot for love of money with that red dot sight. wasted all my pre-glut 9mm ammo trying to learn how to use it and even reloaded about 400 rounds. Bottom line is red dots aren't for me, once I replaced it with the supplied night sights I really started to appreciate it.
It has become my hot weather CCW:D

I added the safety left side only to my P365. The OP dun gud, those with larger hands frequently size up the grip to an X or XL for a better fit. That's the entire purpose of the FCU and grip system - a normal serial numbered frame would cost you a lot more to swap or trade out. With SIG, it's just another accessory.

Considering the viable combinations it would take five or more separate guns to do that with conventional frames, and very little interchangeable even if the same maker. That is exactly why it was part of the modular bid contract, to fit guns to anybody in the unit and the armorer can do it on the spot. At home, we are the armorer and it's even simpler than building an AR15.

My 365 is my EDC. Didn't like breaking my grip to use the mag release so I switched it to the right side to be activated by my trigger finger. Very pleased with this pistol -- big change from carrying my full size Kimber 1911 in .45.

I also really love my P365XL. I have a P320 "CCO" configuration that I kluged together from a small compact frame and the full-size barrel and slide that I carry for the most part, but the P365XL will see a lot of carry time once the appropriate holster arrives.

I got one of those gas pedals for my M18 and 320 Legion, really like it!

Several friends love their 365’s, and the two or three I’ve shot have been great shooters (both the standard and XL models).

I seriously do not think anyone looking for a solid, reliable and compact ccw can go wrong with one .

Stay safe.

I bought the P365 about five months ago to replace my then bug. It shoots very well and after running hundreds of rounds through it without any problems, I carry it every day (pocket carry) regardless of what attire I'm wearing.

FWIW, my son and SIL each have a P365 as well and carry it either as a bug or by itself depending upon their situations. To be fair, we already own Sigs and the P365 is just as reliable as our P229s and P228.....we couldn't be happier...

Excellent choice, C-grunt. For a Gluck guy, you sure have been shooting alot of SIGs. :D

Speaking of the P320, I wish the Wilson Combat module was available in .45acp so that I could use it on mine. Being a .45 guy is kind of like being a dinosaur these days. I’m not against the 9mm in any way but shooting and reloading .45 acp is so dang fun and I have tons of it.

I have a 365xl ... Not a fan. Bought mine under the Sig LEO/FR program.
My every day going to work gun is a P250sc.
Can't see that changing.

P365XL is on my hip right now. Even the XL feels small to me but shoots, great gun.

I bought a P365 after I got my XL because of all the raving about it... I thought maybe I missed something. After I got it I found the grip a little to small for my liking. Sold it! I discovered I made the right choice (for me) with the XL. Every time I pick the XL up and shoot it I'm reminded I made the right call.

P365X Profile 2.jpg
My P365X with a 14 rd MagGuts modified magazine, with minor modifications to the grip module and magazine floorplate that makes it fit my hand like a glove. I extended the magazine release button and I've done minor finishing work inside, which also made the trigger action smoother. I'm stickin' with the iron sights and curved trigger, but I plan to buy an XL slide in the future. Other than being curious about the longer XL slide and longer barrel, I'm very happy with it. It's size is perfect for my XL sized hands and concealed carry. I consider it a design with excellent compromises to make it small enough to conceal carry.

Having never shot a pistol in my life, at age 67 I still managed a 3-3/4" group at 7 yards by the 4th magazine. I know that people recommend starting with a .22 pistol, but I started with this 9mm and no issues at all with recoil, muzzle flip, or flinching. It's very easy to shoot. If I had it to do over I'd buy it again.

I picked up a P365XL back in May and it’s been my EDC from that day. The size makes it perfect to carry, and it’s very accurate. I like the X-ray Three sights - I find them very easy to pick up. I used it a few weeks ago to shoot in the P365 EDC Championships at the Sig Academy. Despite not having shot in a competitive match in almost 15 years, I still finished in the top 50…that was the pistol, not me!

That said, I picked up an H&K P30SK today. It’s a little bit wider and heavier than the P365, but I really do prefer a hammer over a striker. It’s just as accurate, too. So they’re both in my rotation for EDC…but I can see the P365 getting relegated to the safe a lot more often!

I bought XL to replace Shield and to compete in Sig EDC. After 1,300 rounds and 5 competitions I think it's a great little gun. Now that EDC is past ive put the smaller 10 rd grip under the XL slide/barrel so I have the best of both worlds for IWB-CC. Short grip with longer/heavier slide.
